     James Brown was the son of Lt. James Brown and Margaret Dennison.¹

     Lt. James Brown was born on 4 May 1655 in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.² He was the son of James Brown and Lydia Howland.¹ Lt. James Brown married Margaret Dennison.³ Lt. James Brown made a will on 28 June 1717 at Swansea, Massachusetts, the inventory was taken 27 April 1719 and the will proved 4 May 1719.³ He died on 15 April 1718 in Attleboro, Bristol County, Massachusetts, at the age of 62^3,2 and is buried in Ancient Little Neck Cemetery, East Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.⁴

     James Franklin Brown was born on 24 June 1843.¹ He was the son of James Brown and Mary Ann Russell.¹ James Franklin Brown married May Emma Pratt after 4 November 1875 in Crystal, Maine, (date of intention.)² James Franklin Brown died on 7 January 1894 in Island Falls, Maine, at the age of 50.³

     Jennie Christiana Brown was born on 31 October 1887 in Glenburn Center, Penobscot County, Maine.^1,3 She was the daughter of Wilbur Eugene Brown and Flora Olive Sewall.¹ Jennie Christiana Brown married Perry Ashley Bean, son of Amos Gilbert Bean, on 30 June 1913 in Orono, Maine.² Jennie Christiana Brown died on 16 February 1920 in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, at the age of 32³ and is buried in the Village Cemetery, Corinna, Penobscot County, Maine.³

     Joan Brown was the daughter of Sir Anthony Browne K.B. Joan Brown married firstly John Heneage circa 1430.

     John Brown was born on 30 September 1650.¹ He was the son of John Brown Jr.¹

     Capt. John Brown married Elizabeth Bulkeley, daughter of Rev. Edward Bulkeley and Lucian (Unknown), after 1680.²

     Capt. John Brown married Molly Livingston, daughter of Peter van Brugh Livingston and Mary Alexander, on 11 June 1772.¹

     Rev. John Brown was born on 19 April 1696 in Little Cambridge, now Brighton, Massachusetts.^1,2,3 He graduated in 1714 from Harvard.¹ He was ordained on 3 May 1719 at Haverhill.¹ He married Joanna Cotton, daughter of Rev. Roland Cotton and Elizabeth Saltonstall, on 17 September 1719 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts.⁴ Rev. John Brown died on 2 December 1742 in Haverhill at the age of 46.^1,2

     Rev. John Brown was born on 9 March 1723/24 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Rev. John Brown and Joanna Cotton.¹ Rev. John Brown graduated in 1741 from Harvard.¹ He died on 22 August 1791 in Cohasset at the age of 67.¹

     John James Brown was born on 3 October 1905 in Quebec.¹ He married Joan Minto Crombie, daughter of William Claude David Crombie and Edith Mary Lawrence, in 1928.² John James Brown died on 29 March 1956 in Banff, Canmore Census Division, Alberta, at the age of 50¹ and is buried in Banff Town Cemetery, Banff, Canmore Census Division, Alberta.³

     John Brown Jr. was born in 1627.¹ He was the son of John Brown Sr. and Dorothy Beauchamp ? John Brown Jr. married secondly Lydia Buckland, daughter of William Buckland.² John Brown Jr. made a will on 31 March 1662 at Rehoboth, Massachusetts, probate granted 3 Oct. 1662.³ He died in 1662.

     John Brown Sr. was born in 1584 in England.^2,3 He married Dorothy Beauchamp ? John Brown Sr. came to Plymouth Colony in 1633 with his wife and three daughters [sic].
He was prominent in the Plymouth colony, having known the refugees in Leyden, when in his younger days he travelled on the Continent. He was living in Duxbury in 1636; in Taunton in 1643 but soon moved to Swansea. He was Assistant for seventeen years; served as one of the Commissioners of the United Colonies for twelve years, and sat on the Council of War for three years. He was one of the lessees of Kennebec trade in 1649.^2,4
He made a will on 7 April 1662.⁵ He died on 10 April 1662 in Swansea, Massachusetts.^6,2

     Jonathan Brown was born in 1706 in Rye, New York. He was the son of Deliverance Brown and (unknown) (Unknown). Jonathan Brown married Phoebe Kniffen. In 1735 he was a justice and prominent in Westchester county, New York. Jonathan Brown died on 15 June 1768 in Hartford, Connecticut.

     Joseph Brown was born on 9 April 1658 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of John Brown Jr.¹ Joseph Brown married Hannah Fitch.² Joseph Brown died on 5 May 1731 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, at the age of 73.¹

     Katherine Brown was born on 13 June 1898.² She married Edmund Quincy Collier, son of George Washington Collier and Frances Parsons Osgood, in 1927.¹ Katherine Brown died in April 1981 at the age of 82.²

     Lucia A. Brown was born on 27 June 1839 in Weld.¹ She was the daughter of James Brown and Mary Ann Russell.¹ Lucia A. Brown died in October 1862 in Island Falls at the age of 23 unmarried.¹

     Lydia Brown was born on 5 August 1655.¹ She was the daughter of John Brown Jr.¹

     Mabel Irene Brown was born on 8 April 1896 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.¹ She married Gilbert Sewell Chandler, son of Elmer M. Chandler and Dora Adelia Sewall.¹ Mabel Irene Brown died on 5 January 1970 in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, at the age of 73.¹

     Margaret Brown was the daughter of Lt. James Brown and Margaret Dennison.¹

     Margaret Anne Brown was born circa 1813 in Ireland. She married Capt. James Creighton McClellan in York.

     Margaret Letitia Brown married Francis Newcombe Landon.¹

     Martha Brown married John Toppan, son of Abraham Toppan and Susan Taylor, on 3 September 1688.¹

     Mary Brown married Philip Morse.¹

     Mary Brown was born circa 1614 in England.² She was the daughter of John Brown Sr. and Dorothy Beauchamp ?¹ Mary Brown married Captain Thomas Willett, son of Andrew Willett and Jacobine (Jacobeda) Goad, on 6 July 1636 in Plymouth, Massachusetts.¹ Mary Brown died on 8 January 1669/70 in Swansea (or possibly a year earlier.)^1,3

     Mary Brown married secondly Peter Brown "the Pilgrim" between 1627 and 1631. Mary Brown died after 21 November 1633.

     Mary Brown was the daughter of Lt. James Brown and Margaret Dennison.¹
