Humphrey John Tench and Maria Frances Carruthers.5 Louisa Tench married Rev. Dr. Francis James Lundy D.C.L., son of Rev. Francis Lundy M.A. and Agnes Elizabeth Rudd, on 4 October 1849 in St. John's Church, Stamford, Ontario, the service being conducted by Rev. W. Leeming. The Rev. Lundy is described in the notice of the wedding as being Rector of Grimsby.5,6 Louisa Tench died on 5 October 1899 in 208 E 16th Street, New York, New York, at the age of 89 from a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Lundy was in her ninetieth year, having been born in Swansea, Wales, on Feb. 4, 1810. She came to this city thirty years ago and had been a member of Dr. Rainford's congregation in St George's Episcopal Church for seventeen years. Mrs. Lundy was the daughter of Captain Humphrey J. Tench of her Majesty's Eighty-seventh Regiment. The funeral will take place from St George's Church on Sunday.3,4
