Timothy Orne was born on 30 April 1750 in Salem, Massachusetts.2 He was the son of Timothy Orne and Rebecca Taylor.3,4 Timothy Orne was baptised on 6 May 1750 at Salem.5 He graduated in 1768 from Harvard.6 He married Elizabeth Sewall Pynchon, daughter of William Pynchon and Catherine Sewall, in December 1771 in Salem, Massachusetts.4 A loyalist, he was an addresser of Gage in 1774. A mob seized him in 1775, but were persuaded to relinquish their design of tarring and feathering him.7 Timothy Orne made a will on 22 December 1789 proved 1 Feb 1790.5 He died on 23 December 1789 in Danvers, Massachusetts, at the age of 39 "of decay."5,3

The Rev. Edmund Quincy Sewall Osgood was a Unitarian clergyman who for some time was minister emeritus of All Souls Church in Brattleboro, Vermont.
Born in Cohasset on Feb. 26, 1851, his parents were the Rev. Joseph Osgood and Ellen Devereux Sewall Osgood. He was a descendent of Chief Justice Sewall and of Colonel Joseph Ward, who served on General Washington's staff. He prepared for college under his father and entering Harvard was graduated with the degree of A.B., later taking the course at the Harvard Divinity School, where he received his S.T.B. in 1878.
He was ordained that year to the Unitarian ministry and his first pastorate was at Plymouth, the First Church, where he remained from 1878 to 1885. After four years at Grafton he served a parish at Hyde Park, Massachusetts. In 1897 he accepted a call to Brattleboro. He had resided in Cambridge for a year and a half.
On Sept. 23, 1879, he married Miss Mary Hobart Tower of Cohasset. She died twelve years ago. There are two surviving children, Ronald Sewall Osgood, with whom the clergyman made his home, and Miss Ethel Lewis Osgood, member of the faculty of Concord Academy.4
