     John Murdie was born in 1786.¹ He was the son of David Murdie and Susannah Thorburn.¹ John Murdie married Barbara Oliver.² John Murdie died on 10 October 1869.¹

     Mark Elliot Murdie's birth was registered in the quarter ending 1861 in the Keilor, Victoria, registration district.² He was the son of David Murdie and Marky Minto Elliot.¹ Mark Elliot Murdie married Margaret Hardie in 1906 in Victoria.      Capt. James Frederick Murphy was born on 31 March 1850 in 24 Green Street, Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine.^1,2 He was the son of James K. Murphy and Mary Jane Sewall.¹ Capt. James Frederick Murphy married Maria S. Higgins on 17 September 1874 in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine.^1,3 Capt. James Frederick Murphy died on 5 April 1912 in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine, at the age of 62.¹

     William Pitt Murphy was born on 15 April 1867 in 24 Green Street, Bath, Maine.^2,3 He was the son of James K. Murphy and Mary Jane Sewall.¹ William Pitt Murphy died on 29 March 1932 in Marfa, Presidio County, Texas, at the age of 64.²

     Alice Murray was the daughter of William Murray.¹ Alice Murray married William Dummer Powell, son of Grant Powell and Elizabeth Mary Hurd.¹

     Anne Murray was born on 26 April 1755 in Wells, Norfolk.² She was the daughter of Dr. John Murray and Mary Boyles.³ Anne Murray married Chief Justice William Dummer Powell, son of John Powell and Jane Grant, on 3 October 1775 just before leaving for England and settling near her family at Norwich.¹ Anne Murray died on 9 March 1849 in Toronto at the age of 93.⁴
