Marjorie Barlow Ackerman, 76, was bom on September 7, 1921, in Lake Township, Pa., to Arthur and Rose Barlow and died October 10, 1997, in a local nursing home following a brief illness.
She moved to Pensacola in 1988 from West Palm Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ackerman, her parents and brother, Arthur James Barlow.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (James) Bennington of Mercer, Pa., and Kathy Sewall of Pittsburgh, Pa; her sister. Irene (Richard) Benfield of Pensacola; sister-in-law, Ruth Ackerman of Ellis Grove, III; and stepdaughter, Helen Michell of Zephryhills.
She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola
Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Tuesday, October 14. 1997 in Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Hoyt Swann officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service
Burial will be in Lake Worth Memory Gardens in Lake Worth.5

     Hon. Nathaniel Barrell was born on 2 August 1732 in Boston, Massachusetts.1 He married Sarah/Sally Sayward on 23 November 1758 in 1st Parish, York.1 Hon. Nathaniel Barrell died on 4 April 1831 in York, Maine, at the age of 98.1

Nathaniel served as a lieutenant in Gen Wolfe's army at the taking of Quebec in 1759. In 1763 he became a member of the Governor's Council in New Hampshire, in 1794 was a representative to the Massachusetts General Court. His considerable wealth enabled him to be a "gentleman farmer," his father being an opulent merchant and shipbuilder.1

John Arnold Jr. on 7 March 1804 in Hallowell, Maine.2,4 Ruth Barrell died on 25 May 1848 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 821 and is buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. A note on the Find a Grave records states that she was originally interred in the Central Burying Ground, Faxon tomb, Boston. Re-interred 1 May 1875 at Mount Auburn.5,6
