     Capt. Leonard Hoar was born circa 1683.² He was the son of Daniel Hoar and Mary Stratton.¹ Capt. Leonard Hoar married Esther (Unknown). Capt. Leonard Hoar died in April 1771 in Brimfield, Massachusetts, "in 87th y."²

     Dr. Leonard Hoar. President of Havard. He was born circa 1630 in Gloucestershire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Charles Hoar and Joanna Hincksman.¹ He emmigrated with his mother from London, to New England. He graduated from Harvard College in 1650, and upon the execution of Charles I. went to England, where he married a daughter of John Lisle, the regicide. He took a course in medicine at Cambridge University, and received from that institution the degree M.D. in 1671. He took orders in the established church and had a parish at Wanstead in Essex, until he was ejected for nonconformity in 1662. He returned to New England in 1672, bearing letters from several dissenting clergymen in England, recommending him to the vacant presidency at Harvard. He preached in the South Church, Boston, as an assistant to Thomas Thatcher. He was made president of Harvard College, Sept. 10, 1672, and introduced a system of technical education previously unknown in America. After an unsatisfactory administration, owing to the insubordination of the students, and the enmity of several of the influential patrons of the college, he resigned his office, March 15, 1674.³ Dr. Leonard Hoar married Bridget Lisle, daughter of Lord John Lisle and Alicia Beckenshaw. Dr. Leonard Hoar died on 28 November 1675 in Barnstable, Massachusetts,^1,4 and is buried on 6 December 1675 in Braintree. Where the inscription on his tomb gives Boston as the place of his death.⁵

     Lucy Hoar was born on 14 April 1776. She was the daughter of Samuel Hoar II and Rebecca Dutton.

     Lucy Hoar was the daughter of Lt. Daniel Hoar and Sarah Jones.

     Margery Hoar is also recorded as Margaret Hoare. She was born circa 1614 in Gloucester. She was the daughter of Charles Hoar and Joanna Hincksman.² Margery Hoar married firstly Thomas Matthewe on 26 December 1633 at St. Nicholas Church, Gloucester, Gloucestershire.³ Margery Hoar married secondly Rev. Henry Flynt, son of Thomas Flint and Dorothy Wood, on 17 March 1640 at Braintree, Massachusetts.⁴ Margery Hoar died on 10 March 1686/87 in Braintree, Massachusetts, buried in the Hancock Cemetery at Braintree (now Quincy) beside the body of her husband.
Her epitaph reads "She was a gentlewoman of piety, prudence, and peculiarly accomplished for instructing young gentlewomen, many being sent to her from other towns, especially from Boston."^5,6

     Marietta Hoar was born on 8 June 1842.¹ She was the daughter of Reuben Sawyer Hoar and Mary Ann Stone.¹ Marietta Hoar married Albert Haynes in March 1846.¹

     Mary Hoar was born circa 1648. She was the daughter of John Hoar and Alice (Unknown).¹ Mary Hoar married Benjamin Graves on 21 October 1668.¹

     Mary Hoar was born on 14 March 1689.¹ She was the daughter of Daniel Hoar and Mary Stratton.¹ Mary Hoar died on 10 June 1702 at the age of 13.

     Nathan Hoar was born on 9 January 1781. He was the son of Samuel Hoar II and Rebecca Dutton. Nathan Hoar died in 1797.

     Nathaniel Peirce Hoar was born on 2 September 1784. He was the son of Samuel Hoar and Susanna Peirce. Nathaniel Peirce Hoar graduated in 1810 from Harvard. He died in 1820.

     Nehemiah Hoar was born on 19 October 1704. He was the son of John Hoar and Ruth (Unknown). Nehemiah Hoar died on 2 December 1718 at the age of 14.

     Oliver Hoar was born on 12 June 1722 in Littleton. He was the son of Benjamin Hoar and Esther (Unknown). Oliver Hoar died on 12 December 1723 at the age of 1.

     Oliver Hoar was born on 20 October 1724. He was the son of Benjamin Hoar and Esther (Unknown).

     Oliver Hoar was born on 14 October 1707. He was the son of John Hoar and Ruth (Unknown). Oliver Hoar died on 29 May 1711 at the age of 3.

     Paul Hoar was born on 15 January 1755. He was the son of Samuel Hoar and Hannah Sawyer.

     Polly Fiske Hoar was born on 11 June 1791. She was the daughter of Samuel Hoar and Susanna Peirce. Polly Fiske Hoar died on 12 May 1813 at the age of 21.

     Rebecca Hoar was born on 1 July 1735 in Lexington.¹ She was the daughter of John Hoar and Ester Peirce. Rebecca Hoar married Joseph Cutler on 6 May 1755.

     Rebecca Hoar was born on 18 October 1761. She was the daughter of John Hoar and Elizabeth Coolidge. Rebecca Hoar married Joseph White on 15 June 1784 James Coolidge Carter is a grandson.

     Rebeckah Hoar was born on 4 April 1779. She was the daughter of Samuel Hoar II and Rebecca Dutton.

     Reuben Hoar was born on 4 February 1791.¹ He was the son of Samuel Hoar II and Rebecca Dutton. Reuben Hoar married Rebecca Baker on 1 September 1813.¹

     Reuben Sawyer Hoar was born on 5 January 1815.¹ He was the son of Reuben Hoar and Rebecca Baker.¹ Reuben Sawyer Hoar married Mary Ann Stone on 22 May 1839.²
