     Lyman Shedd Herrick was born on 4 September 1885 in Paris, Oxford County, Maine.² He was the son of Charles Daniel Herrick and Ellen Burrows. Lyman Shedd Herrick married Lena Estelle Sewall, daughter of William Ripley Sewall and Mary Jane Fairchild, on 27 February 1909 in West Paris, Maine.¹ Lyman Shedd Herrick died on 24 October 1974 in Norway, Maine, at the age of 89.³

     Abbie F. Hersey was born circa 1846 in Belfast, Waldo County, Maine.¹ She married Charles Sewall Perham, son of Josiah L. Perham and Esther Sewall, on 17 May 1866 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.¹

     Lucy W. Hersey married James B. Dyer.¹

     Aveline de Hesdin was the daughter of Ernulf de Hesdin.² Aveline de Hesdin married Alan fitz Flaald, Baron of Oswestry, son of Flaald fitz Alan, between 1100 and 1105.³

     In 1086 he gave the Manor of Ruislip to the Abbey of Bec in Normandy.² Between 1094 and 1100 "Notification that Arnulf de Hesdin, when on his way to England with the king [who was] returning from Normandy bestowed on St. George all that he held of count Engelram at Hesdin in fee, which he did by the count's advice and with his consent. Afterwards, in his house at Norton in England, on Ascension day, when many knights of his following (familia) had assembled, he renewed this gift, with the assent of all, in the presence of his sons and his daughter with his wife. And his chaplain Theodardus confirmed there, before witnesses, the gift he had made at Combe (Cumbam) in the presence of Osmund bishop of Salisbury and his clerks, namely the churches of Norton and Weston and Eston, and two chapels in the city of Bath with the land and buildings appurtenant, and all the tithe, and a curtilage at Newbury (Niweberiam), on the terms that so long as he lived a clerk, he should enjoy that endowment, and should give the priory (ecclesie) of St. George half-a-marc of gold yearly, and after his death the monks should possess it all. To both these gifts the wife of Arnulf and his son William and his daughter Ava gave consent, etc ..... " Round, Calendar of Documents in France, p. 438/9. In 1095 together with William of Eu he was accused of treason by William Rufus but in a trial his champion defeated his lord's accuser but Ernulf de Hesdin quit England in disgust at the barbaric and tyrannical proceedings under King William, and joined the Crusade.

     Ernulf de Hesdin was the son of Ernulf de Hesdin.¹ Ernulf de Hesdin was hanged in August 1139 in Shrewsbury for prolonging the defence of Shrewsbury Castle by his nephew, William fitz Alan (who fled abroad) against King Stephen during The Anarchy. Ordericus writes "The king, however, finding that his gentleness had lowered him in the eyes of the revolters, and that in consequence many of the nobles summoned to his court had disdained to appear, was so incensed that he ordered Arnulf and nearly ninety-three others of those who had resisted him to be hung on the gallows, or immediately executed in other ways. Arnulf now repenting too late, and many others on his behalf, supplicated the king, offering a large sum of money for his ransom. But the king preferring vengeance on his enemies to any amount of money, they were put to death without delay."¹

     Georgina Hope Hespeler was the daughter of William Hespeler.¹ Georgina Hope Hespeler married Augustus Meredith Nanton, son of Augustus Nanton and Louisa Jarvis, on 7 December 1886.¹ Georgina Hope Hespeler died on 19 December 1887.¹

     Henry Boyd Hess was born circa 1869 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.² He married Margaret Wendell, daughter of Evert Jansen Wendell and Abigail H. Smith, on 3 October 1889 at The Church of the Redeemer, Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^1,3 Henry Boyd Hess died on 31 July 1891 in El Cajon, San Diego County, California.²

     Of La Rochelle, France.² Josué Hett married Sarah (Unknown).¹

     Mary Hett was born on 24 May 1710 in New York.² She was the daughter of René Hett and Blanche Dubois.¹ Mary Hett married Judge William Smith, son of Thomas Smith and Susanna Odell, on 11 May 1727.³ Mary Hett died on 22 August 1754 at the age of 44.²

     René Hett was born in La Rochelle, France.² He was the son of Josué Hett and Sarah (Unknown).¹ René Hett emigrated in 1681 to New York.³ He married Blanche Dubois, daughter of Jacques du Bois and Blanche Sauzeon.¹ René Hett died before 8 November 1768 the date his will was proved in New York.⁴

     Arthur O. Hettler was born on 14 March 1885 in Crete, Nebraska.² He married Lucille M. (Lulu) Jacobs, daughter of Melvin M. Jacobs and Theressa Waldron, on 24 June 1908 in Denver, Colorado.³ Arthur O. Hettler died on 23 August 1923 in Sanatorium, Tom Green County, Texas, at the age of 38.³

     Alice Erie Douglas Heudebourck was born probably on 1 March 1846 in London her birth was registered in the June quarter in Hackney. In the Canadian census her birth is given as a year earlier.^2,3 She was the daughter of Rev. William Harvey Heudebourck and Sarah Robson. Alice Erie Douglas Heudebourck married Dr. James Algernon Temple, son of Capt. William Henry Temple and Maria May Livingston Sewell, on 19 May 1869.⁴ Alice Erie Douglas Heudebourck died on 3 September 1929 in Toronto, York, Ontario, at the age of 83.⁵

     Rose Heudebourck was born on 24 January 1840 in Devon.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. William Harvey Heudebourck and Sarah Robson.² Rose Heudebourck married Robert Handcock Temple, son of Capt. William Henry Temple and Maria May Livingston Sewell, on 29 June 1865 in Québec.³ Rose Heudebourck died on 28 February 1923 in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 83.² She was buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.

     Sarah Charlotte Heudebourck was born on 7 September 1834.¹ She was the daughter of Rev. William Harvey Heudebourck and Sarah Robson.¹ Sarah Charlotte Heudebourck was christened on 11 January 1835 at Tiverton, Devon, England.¹

     He was a Congregational Minister. Rev. William Harvey Heudebourck was born on 18 April 1805 in Somerset.¹ He was baptised on 21 May 1805 at Bishops Hull, Somerset.² He married Sarah Robson.³ Rev. William Harvey Heudebourck died on 27 August 1883 in Cap Rouge, Québec, at the age of 78.¹

     Louise Christine Heussler was born in 1861.² She was the daughter of Hon. J.C. Heussler.² Louise Christine Heussler married John Cameron, son of Donald Charles Cameron and Margaret Anne Moore, on 27 December 1899 in Maida Hill Presbyterian Church.³ Louise Christine Heussler died on 9 July 1917 in Carfin, Alexander Road, Ascot, Queensland.⁴

     Charlotte Gertrude van den Heuvel was born circa 1784 in Demerara, British Guiana.² She was the daughter of Jan Cornelius van den Heuvel.¹ Charlotte Gertrude van den Heuvel married Colin Macrae, son of Farquhar Macrae, in September 1805.² Charlotte Gertrude van den Heuvel died circa 1868 in Edinburgh.²

     Jan Cornelius van den Heuvel. American merchant and one-time Governor of Dulde, British Guiana. He was born on 23 December 1742 in Maastricht, Holland.¹ He died on 6 May 1826 in New York at the age of 83.¹

     Margaret Hever was the daughter of John Hever of Cranbrook.¹ Margaret Hever married Nicholas Tufton of Northiam, son of William Tufton.

     Eunice M. Hewes was born circa 1825.¹ She married Joseph Wood Gerrish, son of Samuel Bartlett Gerrish and Mary "Polly" Wood.² Eunice M. Hewes died on 2 April 1897¹ and is buried in School Street Cemetery, Lebanon, Grafton County, New Hampshire.¹

     The marriage intention of Mary Hewes and Samuel Toppan, son of Abraham Toppan and Esther Wigglesworth, was published on 6 July 1749 in Newbury, Massachusetts.²

     Solomon Hewes married Sarah Wendell, daughter of Hon. Colonel Jacob Wendell and Sarah Oliver, on 9 April 1789 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.^2,1
