He attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and served as a Boy Scout leader. In addition, he served in the U. S. Army in France, Germany and England during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Glines of Yuba City; three sons, William Glines of Yuba City, John Glines of Newport, Wash., and George Glines of Phoenix, Ariz; a brother, George Glines of Apple Valley; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Glines; three brothers, Eugene Glines, Sewall Glines and William Glines; and a sister, Mary Holt.3
