     Empress Adelaide or Matilda Caenmor, Lady of the English was born before August 1102 in Winchester or London.2 She was the daughter of King Henry I, called Beauclerc King of the English and Matilda (Editha) Caenmor. Empress Adelaide or Matilda Caenmor, Lady of the English married firstly (?) Henry V, Emperor of Germany on 7 January 1114 at Mainz, Germany.2 Empress Adelaide or Matilda Caenmor, Lady of the English married secondly Geoffrey Plantagenet, Count of Anjou and Maine, son of (?) Fulk V, Count of Anjou, King of Jerusalem and Aremburga of Maine,, on 3 April 1127 at Le Mans Cathedral, Anjou.2 Empress Adelaide or Matilda Caenmor, Lady of the English died on 10 September 1167 in the Abbey of Notre Dame des Prés, Rouen.3

     Malcolm Caenmor, Malcolm III, King of Scotland was born circa 1031. He was the son of Duncan I of Scotland, King of Scots and Sibylla da. or sister of Siward, Earl of Northumbria. Malcolm Caenmor, Malcolm III, King of Scotland married secondly Margaret Atherling, (St. Margaret of Scotland), daughter of Edward the Atherling called The Exile and Agatha of Brunswick, between 1069 and 1070 in Dunfermline Abbey, Fife.1 Malcolm Caenmor, Malcolm III, King of Scotland slain on 13 November 1093 in battle near Alnwick, Northumberland, and was buried at Tynemouth. His remains were later removed to Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, and, later still, to the Escorial, Madrid, Spain.
He was succeeded by his brother Donald, a Usurper.2

     Matilda (Editha) Caenmor was born in 1080 she was christened Edith but adopted the name Matilda upon her marriage as it was thought the Norman barons might not respect a queen with a Saxon name.1 She was the daughter of Malcolm Caenmor, Malcolm III, King of Scotland and Margaret Atherling, (St. Margaret of Scotland). Matilda (Editha) Caenmor married King Henry I, called Beauclerc King of the English, son of William called the Conqueror, William I, King of England and Matilda or Maud of Flanders, on 11 November 1100 or 14 November 1100.1 Matilda (Editha) Caenmor died on 1 May 1118 in the Palace of Westminster, London, and was buried in Westminster Abbey.1
