Hezekiah Usher1

     Hezekiah Usher was born in 1616.2 He married firstly Frances (Unknown) before 1639 at Cambridge, Massachusetts.3 Usher was a merchant and bookseller in Cambridge and after 1645 in Boston. He was agent for the Society for Propagating the Gospel among the Indians, and went to London in 1657-58 to procure the types and paper with which Samuel Green of Cambridge printed John Eliot's Indian Bible in 1660-63.4 Hezekiah Usher died on 14 May 1676.1
