     Captain George Tindal R.N. was the son of Rev. Nicholas Tindal and Anne Keate.² Captain George Tindal R.N. was living in Coval Hall, Essex.¹ He married Diana Pocklington, daughter of Rev. Oliver Pocklington and Catherine Manwood.¹ Captain George Tindal R.N. died in 1777.¹

     Harriet Jane Tindal was born circa 1826.² She was the daughter of Cdr. Charles Tindal R.N. and Anne Sarah Grant.¹ Harriet Jane Tindal died on 5 September 1917 at 12 Rockleaze Villas, Clifton, Bristol.²

     James Tindal was the son of Rev. Nicholas Tindal and Anne Keate.¹ James Tindal. Captain in the 4th Regiment of Dragoons.¹ He died in December 1760.¹

     John Tindal was the son of Rev. Nicholas Tindal and Anne Keate.¹ John Tindal. Rector of Chelmsford.¹ He married Mary Pocklington, daughter of Rev. Oliver Pocklington.¹

     Rev. John Tindal. Rector of St. Ives, Cornwall, Vicar of Cornwood, Devon.¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford.¹ He married Elizabeth Prideaux, daughter of Nicholas Prideaux.¹ Rev. John Tindal died in 1714.¹

     John Humphery Tindal was born on 26 May 1889.¹ He was the son of John Travers Tindal and Mary Isabella Ogilvie.¹ John Humphery Tindal died on 15 February 1917 at the age of 27 of malaria. At the time he was serving as a gunner, R.G.A.²

     John Pocock Tindal R.N. was born circa 1781. He was the son of Robert Tindal and Sarah Pocock.^2,1 John Pocock Tindal R.N. was killed on 11 October 1797 when a signal-midshipman on H.M.S. Monarch in the engagement with the Dutch Fleet at Camperdown.¹

     John Travers Tindal was born on 4 June 1860 in Ramornie, Clarence River, New South Wales.² He was the son of Charles Grant Tindal and Anne Amory Travers.¹ John Travers Tindal married Mary Isabella Ogilvie, daughter of Hon. E.D. Ogilvie, on 20 June 1888.¹ John Travers Tindal died on 30 August 1926 in Darlinghurst, Sydney, New South Wales, at the age of 66
Obituary.-The death occurred in a private hospital at Darlinghurst of Mr. John Travers Tindal, of Tatiara, Glen Innes. The deceased gentleman, who was 66 years of age, was bom at Ra- mornie, Clarence River, and was a son of the late Mr. Charles Grant Tindal, father of the Australian meat export trade. Through the medium of the Ramornie meatworks, deceased's father pioneered the tinned meat export, and established for the Ramornie products a reputation without equal throughout the world. Educated in England, the late Mr. Tindal returned to Australia, and married Miss Ogilvie, a sister of Mr. W. F. Ogilvie, of Ilparran. After a long period of residence on the Clarence River, the late Mr. Tindal acquired Tatiara from Mr. John Strang, and resided in the Glen Innes district until early this year, when he disposed of his Glen Innes interests. The late Mr. Tindal is survived by his widow and four daughters - Mrs. Travers (Singapore), Misses Dorothy, Freda, and Marjory. His only son was killed in the Great War.^3,4

     Katherine Tindal was born in 1756. She was the daughter of Captain George Tindal R.N. and Diana Pocklington.¹

     Katherine Mary Adela Tindal. Composer and songwriter. She was born on 15 December 1862 in London.¹ She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Louis Symonds Tindal and Henrietta Maria O'Donel Whyte. Katherine Mary Adela Tindal apparently married Frederick Brunning Maddison, son of Frederick Patey Chappell, on 4 October 1882 in Marylebone Parish Church, London, where the bride gave her age as 21.² Katherine Mary Adela Tindal married Frederick Brunning Maddison, son of Frederick Patey Chappell, on 14 April 1883 in Christ Church, Lancaster Gate, London. Katherine Mary Adela Tindal died on 12 June 1929 at a nursing home, 53 Castlebar Road, Ealing, London, at the age of 66.^3,4

     Laura Tindal was born circa 1819 in Belgium.² She was the daughter of Cdr. Charles Tindal R.N. and Anne Sarah Grant.¹ Laura Tindal died in 1873 unmarried.¹

     Vice-Admiral Louis Symonds Tindal was born on 29 August 1811.¹ He was the son of Sir Nicolas Conyngham Tindal and Merelina Symonds.¹ Vice-Admiral Louis Symonds Tindal married Henrietta Maria O'Donel Whyte on 15 January 1853 in St. James's Church, Westbourne Terrace, London.² Vice-Admiral Louis Symonds Tindal died on 4 February 1876 in 23 Lansdowne Place, Brighton, Sussex, at the age of 64.^3,4

     Margaret Sabina Tindal. Twin with her sister Henrietta.¹ Margaret Sabina Tindal's birth was registered in the quarter ending June 1858 in the Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire registration district.² She was the daughter of Acton Tindal and Henrietta Euphemia Harrison.¹ Margaret's death was registered in the quarter ending September 1895 in the Brentford, Middlesex registration district.²

     Maria Merelina Symonds Tindal was born in 1854 in Liphook, Sussex, (registered in the quarter ending June 1854).^2,3 She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Louis Symonds Tindal and Henrietta Maria O'Donel Whyte.¹ Maria Merelina Symonds Tindal married Arthur Mildmay Gepp, son of Thomas Morgan Gepp, on 15 January 1876 in Hove, Sussex.^1,4 Maria's death was registered in the quarter ending March 1935 in the Bournmouth registration district; (her death was registered in her maiden name).³

     Marianne Elizabeth Tindal was born circa 1775.² She was the daughter of Robert Tindal and Sarah Pocock.¹ Marianne Elizabeth Tindal married George Porter.¹ Marianne Elizabeth Tindal died on 21 August 1845 in 32 Euston Square, London.²

     Mary Tindal was the daughter of Cdr. Charles Tindal R.N. and Anne Sarah Grant.

     Mary Isabella Tindal was the daughter of Thomas Tindal and Mary Anne Uhtoff.¹ Mary Isabella Tindal married Rev. Arthur Pearson on 20 January 1846 in St. Mary's Church, Aylesbury, and had issue.^2,3

     Merelina Tindal was born in 1815. She was the daughter of Sir Nicolas Conyngham Tindal and Merelina Symonds.¹ Merelina Tindal married James Whatman Bosanquet, son of Samuel Bosanquet, on 16 May 1840, (though the marraige was registered in the Edmonton district) in Hampstead, London.^1,2,3 Merelina Tindal died on 2 September 1852 the death was registered in Edmonton, London.¹

     Merelina Tindal was born circa 1820 in Belgium.² She was the daughter of Cdr. Charles Tindal R.N. and Anne Sarah Grant.¹ Merelina's death was registered in the quarter ending September 1912 in the Bristol registration district.³

     Merelina Frances Tindal was born on 9 April 1840 in Sandhurst, Gloucester.^2,3 She was the daughter of Rev. Nicholas Tindal M.A. and Anne Frances Schweitzer.¹ Merelina Frances Tindal married William Henry Nassau Stanford, son of Rev. W.H. Stanford, on 3 July 1866 in Donnybrook, Ireland.⁴ She was probably the Merelina F. Stanford aged 89 whose death was registered in the quarter ending September 1929 in the Bath, Somerset registration district, aged 89.⁵

     Nicholas Tindal was born on 5 January 1848.¹ He was the son of Acton Tindal and Henrietta Euphemia Harrison.¹ Nicholas Tindal married Elizabeth Carill-Worsley, daughter of Charles Carill-Worsley, on 17 April 1875.¹ His assumed by royal licence the surname and arms of Tindal-Carill-Worsley in 1878.¹ Nicholas Tindal died on 27 November 1910 in Plas Teg, Mold, at the age of 62.²

     Rev. Nicholas Tindal. The historian. Fellow of Trinity College, Oxford, rector of Alverstoke, Hampshire, vicar of Waltham, Essex, rector of Colebourne, Isle of Wight, Chaplain of Greenwich Hospital, and translator and continuator of Rapin's History of England.¹ He was born on 25 November 1687 in Plymouth, Devon.² He was the son of Rev. John Tindal and Elizabeth Prideaux.¹ Rev. Nicholas Tindal married firstly Anne Keate on 29 January 1710.¹ Rev. Nicholas Tindal proceeded in 1713 from Exeter College, Oxford, MA.² He married secondly Elizabeth Judith Gugelman on 11 August 1753 in the chapel of Greenwich Hospital.² Rev. Nicholas Tindal died on 27 June 1774 in Greenwich Hospital at the age of 86.² He was buried on 2 July 1774 in Goddard's Garden, Greeenwich.²
