     Richard Tilghman was born on 11 May 1739.² He was the son of Col. Richard Tilghman and Susanna Frisby.¹ Richard Tilghman married Elizabeth Tilghman say 1766.¹ Richard Tilghman died circa 1810.¹

     Col. Richard Tilghman was born on 28 April 1705.¹ He married Susanna Frisby, daughter of Peregrine Frisby and Elizabeth Sewall.¹ Col. Richard Tilghman died on 29 September 1768 at the age of 63.¹

     Susanna Tilghman was born in 1751.¹ She was the daughter of Col. Richard Tilghman and Susanna Frisby.¹

     Susanna Carroll Tilghman was the daughter of Col. Edward Lloyd Tilghman and Juliana Carroll.¹ Susanna Carroll Tilghman married Richard Ireland Jones in 1785 or 1786.^1,2 Susanna Carroll Tilghman died circa 1800. "In 1785 or 1786 Richard Ireland Jones, Captain of a troop of horses attached to the Sixth Brigade of Queen Anne's County militia, married Susanna Carroll Tilghman, daughter of Colonel Edward Tilghman. At the time of their marriage, Susanna Carroll Tilghman owned a tract of 500 acres on South East Creek, near Church Hill. It was there that Jones built Kennersley.... Richard and Susannah had one child, Arthur Tilghman Jones, born about the year 1787. Susannah died circa 1800 and left Kennersley to Arthur, but with a life interest to her husband, who later remarried." The article mentions Arthur was married but no mention of children. He had financial problems and lost his money, slaves and property.

     William Tilghman was born on 11 March 1745.¹ He was the son of Col. Richard Tilghman and Susanna Frisby.¹

     Edward Tilley was baptised on 27 May 1588 at Henlow, Bedfordshire.¹ He was the son of Robert Tilley and Elizabeth (Unknown).¹ Edward Tilley married Agnes Cooper on 20 June 1614 in Henlow, Bedfordshire.¹ Edward Tilley came in 1620 on the Mayflower.² He died in 1620 in the first general sickness, as did his wife and brother.¹

A Mayflower passenger.² She was baptised on 30 August 1607 at Henlow, Bedfordshire.³ She was the daughter of John Tilley and Joan Hurst.¹ Elizabeth Tilley married John Howland, son of Henry Howland and Anne (Unknown), on 25 March 1623.⁴ Elizabeth Tilley died on 21 December 1687 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, at the age of 80.²

     John Tilley was also spelt as Tillie. He was baptised on 19 December 1571 at Henlow, Bedfordshire.² He was the son of Robert Tilley and Elizabeth (Unknown).¹ John Tilley married Joan Hurst, daughter of William Hurst and Rose (Unknown), on 20 September 1596 in Henlow, Bedfordshire.² John Tilley and Joan Hurst emigrated in 1620 on the Mayflower. John Tilley died in 1620 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in the first general sickness.²

     Robert Tilley was born circa 1540.¹ He married Elizabeth (Unknown).¹ Robert Tilley died in February 1612/13.¹

     William Tilley married Abigail Melyen, daughter of Jacob Melyen and Hannah Hubbard, on 27 May 1703 in Boston by Rev. Samuel Willard.¹ William Tilley died on 21 November 1717 Sewall records his death.¹

     Elizabeth Tilloch was the daughter of Alexander Tilloch.¹ Elizabeth Tilloch married John Galt.¹

     Janetje Maria Tillotson was born in 1786.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas T. Tillotson and Margaret Livingston.² Janetje Maria Tillotson married Judge James Lynch, son of Dominick Lynch.² Janetje Maria Tillotson died in 1866.¹

     Thomas T. Tillotson. Surgeon-General U.S. Army, and Secretary of State for New York.² He was born in 1752.¹ He married Margaret Livingston, daughter of Judge Robert Robert Livingston and Margaret Beekman, on 22 February 1779 four children.^1,3 Thomas T. Tillotson died in 1814 (the St. Nicholas Society give this date as 1832).^1,4

     Anthony Timpson Jr. was the son of Anthony Timpson Sr.¹

     Katharine Livingston Timpson was born on 19 February 1903.¹ She was the daughter of Capt. Lawrence Timpson and Katharine Livingston.¹ Circa 1938 Katharine Livingston Timpson was living in London.¹

     Capt. Lawrence Timpson was the son of Theodore Timpson and Mary Hasbrouck.¹ Capt. Lawrence Timpson graduated in 1891 from Columbia.¹ He married Katharine Livingston, daughter of John Henry Livingston and Catherine L. Hamersley, on 2 June 1900.¹ Capt. Lawrence Timpson died on 16 April 1937.¹

     Robert Timpson was the son of Anthony Timpson Jr.¹ Robert Timpson married Julia de Lancy, daughter of Sir James de Lancy.¹ On 13 September 1759 an officer in the 22nd of Foot, was present at the capture of Quebec and settled in Westchester County, New York.¹

     Robert Clermont Livingston Timpson was born on 14 May 1908.¹ He was the son of Capt. Lawrence Timpson and Katharine Livingston.¹ In circa 1938, the address of Robert Clermont Livingston Timpson was 7 Gracie Square, New York.¹ He died in October 1988 at the age of 80.²

     Theodore Timpson was the son of William Timpson and Caroline Mount.¹ Theodore Timpson married Mary Hasbrouck.¹

     Theodore Livingston Timpson was born on 21 January 1901.¹ He was the son of Capt. Lawrence Timpson and Katharine Livingston.¹ In 1937, the address of Theodore Livingston Timpson was Portskewett House, Portskewett, Monmouthshire.¹ In 1938 he was a a Major, King's Royal Rifle Corps, Brigade Major, 150th (Welsh Border) Infantry Bde., T.A.¹

     Thomas Timpson was the son of Robert Timpson and Julia de Lancy.² Thomas Timpson married Catherine van Toren.¹

     William Timpson was the son of Thomas Timpson and Catherine van Toren.¹ William Timpson married Caroline Mount.¹

     Acton Tindal was born on 20 July 1811.¹ He was the son of Thomas Tindal and Anne Chaplin.¹ Acton Tindal married Henrietta Euphemia Harrison, daughter of Rev. John Harrison MA., JP, on 30 July 1846 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.¹ Acton Tindal died on 26 October 1880 in Buckinghamshire at the age of 69.¹

Mr. Acton Tindal. - Mr. Tindal, of the Manor House, Aylesbury, died on the 26th October, 1850, in the seventieth year of his age. He was the eldest son of the late Thomas Tindal, Esq., of the Prebendal House, Aylesbury, Clerk of the Peace, and Treasurer of the County of Buckingham, who died in 1850; his mother being the daughter of Acton Chaplin, Esq., of Aylesbury, also Clerk of the Peace and Treasurer of the County. His grandfather was Robert Tindal, of Coval Hall, Chelmsford, who died in 1835, and who married the only daughter of John Pocock, Esq., of Greenwich, leaving issue (inter alia) Nicolas Conyngham Tindal, Kt., D.C.L., sometime His Majesty's Solicitor-General, and afterwards Chief Justice of the Common Pleas; and Thomas Tindal, Esq., of Aylesbury. Mr. A. Tindal married Henrietta Euphemia, only surviving child of the late Rev. J. Harrison, Vicar of Dinton, and has left issue Nicolas, Acton Giffard, Charles Harrison, and Margaret Sabina. Mr. Tindal has been associated with the County and with the town of Aylesbury for a very long period; as early as the year 1834, as Clerk to the Magistrates at Aylesbury, and afterwards, on the resignation of his father, Clerk of the Peace for the County of Buckingham, which office he held forty-two years. He also held the office of Registrar of the Archdeaconry of Buckingham. At the formation of the Aylesnury Poor Law Union, in 1835, Mr. Tindal was appointed Clerk, an office he held for three years, but, resigned in the year 1838. Notwithstanding the various public labours incumbent on him, Mr. Tindal did not shrink from his share of duties as a parishioner. As a member of the Aylesbury Board of Guardians, Chairman of the Local Board of Health, the Burial Board, as Churchwarden, as a Trustee of Bedford's Charity, Trustee of the Savings' Bank, and in other local public offices, he always rendered his ready assistance, and uniformly gave the greatest satisfaction in the performance of any duties he had undertaken. In the year 1849, he became Lord of the Manor of Aylesbury, with its appurtenances. The Manor came into the public market, amongst the other estates of the late Duke of Buckingham, and was purchased by Mr. Tindal. On the purchase of the Manor, the new Lord made a present of the public clock to the town of Aylesbury, which for some years was the well-known authentic time keeper, erected on the turret, of the late Market House, and which now performs a like useful duty in the present Clock tower, the foundation stone of which building was laid by the late Mrs. Tindal in 1876. On the occasion of Mr. Tindal becoming Lord of the Manor, and his presentation of the town clock, a public complimentary dinner was given to him, which was largely attended by the residents of the town and neighbourhood.      Acton Gifford Tindal. B.A. King's College, Cambridge and of Lincoln's Inn.¹ He was born on 11 November 1849.¹ He was the son of Acton Tindal and Henrietta Euphemia Harrison.¹ Acton's death was registered in the quarter ending December 1915 in the Wandsworth, London registration district.²

     Adela Rose Ellen Tindal was born circa 1842 in Gloucester the 1891 Census gives her age as 45 which would make her birth date 1846 and thus be under age at the time of her marriage. She was the daughter of Rev. Nicholas Tindal M.A. and Anne Frances Schweitzer.² Adela Rose Ellen Tindal married Sir James Mouat V.C., K.C.B., son of Surgeon James Mouat, on 6 October 1859 in St. Peter's Church, Dublin. Adela's death was registered in the quarter ending December 1909 in the Kensington, London registration district; "aged 68."¹

     Adelaide Tindal was born circa 1830 in Mexico.² She was the daughter of Cdr. Charles Tindal R.N. and Anne Sarah Grant.¹

     Amelia Tindal was the daughter of Thomas Tindal and Mary Anne Uhtoff.¹ Amelia Tindal married Rev. John Radclyffe Pretyman in 1844 in Aylesbury.² Amelia Tindal died in 1884.¹

     Anne Tindal was the daughter of Charles Grant Tindal and Anne Amory Travers.¹
