     Christiana K. Southard was born on 6 August 1828 in Maine.² She married James Fogg Sewall, son of Dummer Sewall and Sarah (or Sallie) Wilson, on 6 June 1847 in Corinna, Penobscot County, Maine, they have five children, three of whom are living in 1900.^3,4 Christiana K. Southard and James Fogg Sewall appear on the census of 1900 at Corinna, Maine, the dates of birth given in the Census June 1835 for James and August 1838 for Christiana both appear to be ten years less than the true dates though they give the length of their marriage as 52 years. Living with them is their daughter Effie and her husband Edward Griffin, a farm labourer as well as a grand-daughter called Grace L. Lane aged 18 whose birth is given as September 1881.⁵ Christiana K. Southard died on 21 October 1900 at the age of 72 ¹ and is buried in the Village Cemetery, Corinna, Maine.¹

     Rev. John Sparhawk was born circa 1672.² He was the son of Nathaniel Sparhawk and Patience Newman.² Rev. John Sparhawk married firstly Elizabeth Poole.³ Rev. John Sparhawk married secondly Priscilla Hemans. Rev. John Sparhawk died on 29 April 1718.⁴
