William Smith and Jennet Livingston.1 Henrietta Smith married Chief Justice Jonathan/3 Sewell, son of Jonathan/2 Sewell and Esther Quincy, on 24 September 1796 in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Quebec, by licence from His Excellency General Prescott. Rev. Alexander Spark officiated. Present:- Janet Smith (her sister), William Grant, Stephen Sewell (his brother), G. Germaine and S. Franklin.3 Henrietta Smith died on 26 May 1849 in Quebec at the age of 73 after an illness of about 6 weeks.1 She was buried by Rev. John Cook, D.D. of St. Andrew's Kirk according to the rites of the Church of Scotland on 30 May 1849 at family vault, St. John's Suburb, Quebec City.4 She was re-buried circa 1870 at Mount Hermon Cemetery, Sillery, Quebec.1,5

     Rev. John Smith. A graduate of Yale and a noted physician and minister of the Gospel. He was born on 5 May 1702 in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire.1 He was the son of Thomas Smith and Susanna Odell.1 Rev. John Smith was christened on 16 May 1702 at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire.2 He married Mehitable Hooker, daughter of Judge James Hooker and Mary Leete, on 6 May 1724 they had four sons and eight daughters.3 Rev. John Smith died on 26 February 1771 in White Plains, New York, at the age of 68 where he was minister.1
