He served parishes in San Antonio, Texas; Charleston, West Virginia; Athol, Dorchester, Middleboro, Carlisle, and Nantucket, Massachusetts; and Kennebunk, Maine. He was the chaplain of the Connecticut State Prison from 1923 to 1929 and served as regional director of the American Unitarian Association from 1942 to 1946.3
