     Richard Saltonstall Jr. was born in 1610 in Woodsome, near Huddersfield, Yorkshire, seat of the Kaye family.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Saltonstall of Huntwicke and Grace Kaye. Richard Saltonstall Jr. matriculated on 14 December 1627 from Emmanuel College, Cambridge.1 He married Muriel Gurdon, daughter of Brampton Gurdon and Muriel Sedley, in June 1633 in England.1 Richard Saltonstall Jr. died on 29 April 1694 in Hulme, Lancashire, at the seat of his son-in-law, Sir Edward Moseley.1

Sir Richard Saltonstall of Huntwicke1

M, b. 1586, d. circa 1658
     Sir Richard Saltonstall of Huntwicke was born in 1586. He married firstly Grace Kaye, daughter of Robert Kaye of Woodsome, before 1610 at England.2 Sir Richard Saltonstall of Huntwicke emigrated in 1630 to New England with Governor Winthrop in the Arbella, having been appointed First Assistant, 1629; commenced the Settlement of Watertown, 1630 but returned to England the following year. In 1644 he was appointed Ambassador to Holland. He died circa 1658 in England.3

Sample Jr. and Harriette Josephine Sewell.1 Sewell Vincent Sample married Jolyne May Cornes, daughter of George Henry Cornes and Joanna Ruth Sullivan, on 19 January 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona.3 Sewell Vincent Sample died on 6 June 2005 in Caretel Inns of Royalton Retirement Homes, St. Joseph, Michigan, at the age of 77.2 He was buried on 10 June 2005 in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, Michigan, next to the grave of his wife.

He served his country in the United States Navy. In civilian life he was employed by the Sunbeam Corporation for 28 years, retiring as President of International Sales. More recently he served as President of Shepherd Products in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and his hobbies included genealogy, history, reading and tending to his house plants.4
