Katharine Cynthia Smith was born circa 1842 in Michigan (calculated from her age at death).4,5 She was the daughter of Major Henry Smith and Elvira Foster.2,3 Katharine Cynthia Smith married Edmund Quincy Sewall, son of Henry Devereaux Sewall and Mary Catherine Norton, on 28 June 1866 in Trinity Church, Monroe, Michigan, the marriage was performed by the Rev. Henry Stafford.6 Katharine Cynthia Smith died on 25 October 1908 in Watertown, New York, of heart failure whilst seated at her desk at home. Her obituary records that she was survived by four daughters.7,5

Smith and Susannah Webber.1 Louisa Janet Smith was baptised on 10 December 1808 at Holy Trinity Church, Quebec.2 She married Robert Shore Milnes Sewell, son of Chief Justice Jonathan/3 Sewell and Henrietta Smith, on 19 June 1830 in Quebec by the bishop of Quebec.3 Louisa Janet Smith died on 21 February 1837 in Quebec at the age of 28.4,5 She was buried on 23 February 1837 in Quebec.4 She was re-interred on 26 October 1868 at Mount Hermon Cemetery, Plot 463.
