Mehitable Sewall was baptised by Mr. Parker.2 She married Deacon William/3 Moody, son of Samuel/2 Moody and Mary Cutting, on 15 November 1684 in Newbury.3 Mehitable Sewall died on 8 August 1702 in Newbury at the age of 37 (25 March 1702 recorded in the family bible).4 She was the first person to be buried in Byfield Parish graveyard.5

Johnson Harmon and Mary Moulton, on 7 November 1737 in York, Maine, They were married by the Rev. Samuel Moody. Vital Records of Maine indicate that there were four children of this marriage though Joseph was the sole heir in 1752.3,4,5,6 Mercy Sewall married secondly Judge Simon Frost, son of (unknown) Frost, on 20 February 1749/50.7,8 Mercy Sewall died on 16 May 1807 at the age of 88.9 She was buried in Old York Cemetery, York, Maine.9

     Dr. Millard Freeman Sewall was born on 28 September 1878 in York, Maine.3 He was the son of Noah Millard Sewall and Emma E.F. Guptill.2 Dr. Millard Freeman Sewall married Helen Sydney Ditmare in June 1906.4 Dr. Millard Freeman Sewall and Helen Sydney Ditmare appear on the census of 1930 at Commercial, Cumberland County, New Jersey.5 Dr Sewall spent his boyhood and youth in New England and after completing a course of study in the high school of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with a class of 1895, he entered Dartmouth College, where he won his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1899. A mental review of the broad field of business led him to be decision to take up the practice of medicine and surgery as a life work, and with this end in view, he enrolled as a student in the Jefferson Medical College, where his Doctor of Medicine degree was conferred on him in 1903. For two years he was resident physician at St Agnes Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and then spent eighteen months as a physician at Girard College, gaining broad and valuable knowledge and experience through his hospital work. When that period had elapsed he moved to Bridgeton in 1906, and while he continued in general practice since, he largely specialised in surgery during the next twenty years, winning high rating through the high skill and efficiency which he developed. He possessed the calm nerve, the steady hand and the sound judgement of the able surgeon and since going to Bridgeton, has served on the staff of the Bridgeton hospital, and in 1925 became chief surgeon of the institution.

Dr Sewall was a president of the Cumberland County Medical Society, a member of the New Jersey Medical Society and the American Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His professional activities also included service as a regimental surgeon of the 82nd division in World War I, with the rank of major

Outside of the professional field, Dr Sewall was a director of the Bethlehem and Machine and Foundry Company, at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.4

Descendants of Francis Cabot of Jersey
     Mitchell Sewall was born on 29 October 1699 in Salem, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Major Stephen Sewall and Margaret Mitchell. Mitchell Sewall graduated in 1718 from Harvard A.B. and A.M. 1721, placed third in a class of nineteen.2 Between 1722 and 1723 he was librarian of Harvard. He settled in his native town of Salem and engaged in legal practice. On 22 June 1733 he was appointed Justice of the Peace, and he held the posts of clerk of the Essex County Courts and Registrar of Deeds of Essex County from 1727 until his death.3 He married firstly Mary Cabot, daughter of John Cabot and Anne Orne, on 4 June 1729 in Salem, Massachusetts.1,2 Mitchell Sewall married Elizabeth Price, daughter of Maj. Walter Price and Freestone Turner, on 20 January 1742/43 in Salem, Massachusetts.1,4 Mitchell Sewall died on 13 October 1748 in Salem, Massachusetts, at the age of 48.1,2

     Moses Sewall was born on 24 March 1796 in Hallowell, Kennebec, Maine.2,3 He was the son of Moses Sewall and Ruth Barrell.1 Moses Sewall married Louisa Lentner on 28 January 1823.1 Moses Sewall died on 3 July 1873 in Saratoga at the age of 77.3
Shortly after reaching his majority, Mr Sewall went to Savannah, Georgia and acted as a commission merchant for several houses of the North. He subsequently removed to Mobile, Alabama where he followed the same business for a number of years. In 1833, and he came to Boston and was secretary of the City Marine insurance Company, then located on State Street, until 1847, when he was admitted as a partner in the firm of Sewall, Day & Co. of which Benjamin Sewell, his brother, and Moses Day were the founders and leading partners.3

     Capt. Moses Sewall was born on 22 July 1733 in York, Maine.3 He was the son of Capt. Samuel Sewall and Sarah Batchelder.2 Capt. Moses Sewall married Miriam Stone, daughter of Lt. Benjamin Stone, on 17 March 1757 in York, Maine, the service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Isaac Lyman.4 Capt. Moses Sewall enlisted in 1775 and was commissioned captain, 15 June 1776. He was in the Battle of Bunker Hill; spent the winter of 1775-76 in camp at Boston and served under General Washington at Harlem and White Plains.5 He died in June 1816 in York, Maine, at the age of 82 (3 August 1830 - Sinnett).1,6

     Narcissa Sewall was born on 15 September 1791 in York, Maine.1 She was the daughter of Daniel Sewall and Dorcas Bartlett.2 Narcissa Sewall was baptised on 18 September 1791.3 She married, as his third wife, Benjamin Bourne, son of Capt. John Bourne and Abigail Hubbard, on 1 October 1846 in Kennebunk; a date of 21 September 1846 is recorded in the Bangor VRs, this is possibly the date of intention.3,4 Narcissa Sewall died on 13 July 1886 in Winthrop at the age of 94 s.p. Her gravestone is in Mt. Hope cemetery, Bangor.3
