     Maria Davenport is also recorded as Maria Brook. She was born illegitimate on 10 April 1785; but subsequently adopted.² She was the daughter of William Davenport. Maria Davenport married Rear Admiral Sir Salusbury Pryce Humphreys C.B., K.C.H., son of Rev. Evan Humphreys and Mary Pryce, on 31 May 1810.³ Maria Davenport died on 1 December 1866 at the age of 81.²

     Salusbury Sewell Davenport was born on 29 July 1838.¹ He was the son of Major Trevor Humphreys and Frances Georgina Sewell.¹ Salusbury " was recovering from scarletina though still covered with the rash on 20 December 1842." On 11 May 1855 he was a promoted to Lieutenant 2 February 1855 The Rifle Brigade from ensign Royal Cheshire Militia; Lieutenant 11 May 1855 transferred to the 2nd West India Regiment of Foot 23 November 1855.² He died on 13 March 1869 in Quebec "aged thirty years and eight months."³ He was buried on 16 March 1869 in Quebec.³

     Jeslyn Francis Trower Davenport is also recorded as Trevor Davenport.³ He was born circa 1856 in Christleton, Cheshire, the birth was registered in the December quarter, 1856 in Great Boughton.³ He was the son of Major Trevor Humphreys and Frances Georgina Sewell.² Jeslyn Francis Trower Davenport died on 23 August 1877 in Sark, Channel Islands, by a fall from a precipice.²

     Willoughby Sewell Ross was baptised on 29 December 1851 at Quebec privately.² He was the son of John Ross and Eliza Janet Sewell.¹ Willoughby Sewell Ross died on 27 April 1882 at the age of 30 after a protracted illness.³ He was buried on 1 May 1882 in Mount Hermon Cemetery.³

     Harriet Jane Ross was born circa 1852 in Quebec.² She was the daughter of John Ross and Eliza Janet Sewell.¹ Harriet Jane Ross died on 14 July 1900.¹

     John Algernon Ross was born on 25 February 1855 in Quebec.² He was the son of John Ross and Eliza Janet Sewell.¹ John Algernon Ross was baptised on 8 June 1855 at Chapel of the Holy Trinity, Quebec, privately by E.W. Sewell.² He died on 27 January 1924 in Verdun, Montreal, at the age of 68.^1,3 He was buried on 30 January 1924 in Mount Hermon Cemetery.³

     Frances Eveline Ross later known as Eva Ross.² She was born on 26 October 1848 in Quebec.^1,3 She was the daughter of John Ross and Eliza Janet Sewell.² Frances, having been privately baptised on 13 October 1848, was received into the Church by E.W. Sewell on 20 June 1852.^1,3 Frances Eveline Ross died on 25 August 1912 in Glenfield, St. Foy Road, Quebec, at the age of 63.² She was buried in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Quebec.²

     Donald Charles Trevor Ross was born on 1 November 1859 in Quebec.² He was the son of John Ross and Eliza Janet Sewell.¹ Donald Charles Trevor Ross was baptised on 27 May 1860 at Chapel of the Holy Trinity, Quebec, by E.W. Sewell.² He died on 19 December 1865 in Quebec at the age of 6.³ He was buried on 20 December 1865 in Quebec.³

     Henrietta Maria Sewell was born on 18 July 1797 in Quebec.² She was the daughter of Chief Justice Jonathan/3 Sewell and Henrietta Smith.¹ Henrietta Maria Sewell was born on 27 July 1797 in Quebec by Salter Jehosaphat Mountain.² She died on 1 August 1797 in Quebec.² She was re-interred on 26 October 1865 at Mount Hermon Cemetery, Plot 463.¹

John Durnford was born on 4 March 1809 in Gosport, Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Major General Elias Walker Durnford R.E. and Jane Sophia Mann.² John Durnford married Charlotte Sewell, daughter of Stephen Sewell K.C. and Jane Caldwell, on 28 October 1835 in Montreal.^3,4 John Durnford and Charlotte Sewellappeared in the 1861 census at Greenwich, Kent. Durnford is listed as Assistant Military Storekeeper, War Department.⁵ John Durnford and Charlotte Sewellappeared in the 1871 census at Leamington, Warwickshire,, hey are in lodgings and John Durnford is listed as a retired army officer.⁶ John Durnford and Charlotte Sewellappeared in the 1881 census at Fort George Ordnance House, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands. Here he is described as "retired deputy superintendant of stores of late Military Stores Department of the Army."⁷ John Durnford died on 8 April 1891 in Hauteville, Guernsey, Channel Islands, at the age of 82.^1,8

     Major Philip Durnford was born on 3 February 1804 in Dungannon Fort, Ireland.¹ He was the son of Major General Elias Walker Durnford R.E. and Jane Sophia Mann.¹ He was a of the 68th of Foot, The Durham Light Infantry. Major Philip Durnford married Augusta Sewell, daughter of Stephen Sewell K.C. and Jane Caldwell, on 3 August 1833 in Kingston Church, Portsea, England.² Major Philip Durnford died on 15 October 1881 at the age of 77.¹ He was buried in Montreal.¹

     John Elias Durnford was born in 1840.¹ He was the son of John Durnford and Charlotte Sewell.¹ On 31 December 1859 Gentleman Cadet John Elias Durnford, from the Royal Military College, to be Ensign, without purchase 3rd Regiment of Foot (The Buffs). John Elias Durnford died in 1867 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, or 1869.¹

     Charles Day Durnford was born on 27 January 1846 in Canada.¹ He was a Assistant Commissary General of Ordnance.² He was the son of John Durnford and Charlotte Sewell.¹ Charles Day Durnfordappeared in the 1861 census at Aldershot. He is listed as a lieutenant.³ The marriage of Charles Day Durnford and Emily Roberts was registered in the quarter ending March 1874 in the Chester Registration District.⁴ In 1903 he retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel. They are to be found on the passenger list of the Antillan visiting New Orleans. Two years later they are back in New Orleans on their way to visit Ocean Springs Mississippi.⁵

     Jane Sophia Mann married Major General Elias Walker Durnford R.E. on 30 October 1798.² Jane Sophia Mann died on 27 June 1853 in Calverly Parade, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.¹

     George Durnford was born on 1 August 1838 in Ontario.^1,2 He was the son of Major Philip Durnford and Augusta Sewell.¹ George Durnford married Melanie Vardon, daughter of George Talbot Vardon, on 10 May 1865 in Kingston, Ontario.¹ George Durnfordappeared in the 1881 census. In which his occupation is given as secretary.² He died on 6 December 1922 in Montreal, Quebec, at the age of 84.³ He was buried in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal.¹

     Edward Comyns Durnford was also known as Angus.¹ He was born on 14 April 1844 in Kingston, Ontario.² He was the son of Major Philip Durnford and Augusta Sewell.¹ Edward Comyns Durnford died on 13 January 1927 in St. John, New Brunswick, at the age of 82 unmarried.²

     Sophia Mann Durnford was born on 3 June 1847 in Montreal, Quebec.² She was the daughter of Major Philip Durnford and Augusta Sewell.¹ Sophia Mann Durnford was baptised on 8 August 1847 at Christ Church Cathedral, Montreal.³ She died on 11 December 1930 in Stanford, Connecticut, at the age of 83 unmarried.²

     Augustus Decimus Durnford was born on 11 January 1849 in Montreal, Quebec.² He was the son of Major Philip Durnford and Augusta Sewell.¹ Augustus Decimus Durnford married Mary Oneida Galt, daughter of Sir Alexander Tilloch Galt GCMG and Amy Gordon Torrance, on 6 February 1896 in St. Georges Church, Montreal, conducted by the Bishop of Montreal and Dean Carmichael. The best man was A.D. Nichols. Bridesmaids were: Ms. Muriel Galt (sister), Ms. Annie Galt (sister). Ushers: Alex Galt, Henry Mosley of New York, Spencer Ramsey.¹ Augustus Decimus Durnford died on 30 June 1912 in Cacouna, Quebec, at the age of 63.¹

     Maria Georgiana Durnford was born on 14 December 1849.¹ She was the daughter of Major Philip Durnford and Augusta Sewell.¹ Maria Georgiana Durnford died unmarried.¹

     Charles Jones was born in Glasgow, Scotland.² He was the son of Col. Arthur Jones C.B..¹ In 1838 Charles Jones was living in Fort Erie "late of 27th Regt.¹ " He married Mary Sewell, daughter of Stephen Sewell K.C. and Jane Caldwell, on 7 November 1838 in Toronto Rev. H.J. Grassett officiated. In the notice of the marriage the groom is described as being late of the 27th Regt.³ He was a in Barrister, Toronto.¹

     Charles Arthur Jones married Harriet Schofield.² Charles Arthur Jones was born on 30 November 1839 in Fort Erie, Ontario.¹ He was the son of Charles Jones and Mary Sewell.² Charles Arthur Jones was born on 15 March 1840 in St. Paul's Church, Erie, his godparents were Stephen Charles Sewell, Edward Quinct Sewell and Jane Jones.³ He died on 25 September 1910 in Oshawa Hospital, Ontario, at the age of 70.¹

     Charlotte Francis Jones is also recorded as Charlotte Henrietta Jones.¹ She was born in 1842 in Ontario.² She was the daughter of Charles Jones and Mary Sewell.¹

     Susan Wilson Haydon was born in 1823.² She was the daughter of Edward Langley Haydon.² Susan Wilson Haydon married Dr. Edward Quincy Sewell, son of Stephen Sewell K.C. and Jane Caldwell, on 8 May 1849 in Christ Church, Sorel, Canada.^1,3 Susan Wilson Haydon died on 8 October 1903 in Toronto.²

     Langley Sewell was born in March 1850.^1,2 He was the son of Dr. Edward Quincy Sewell and Susan Wilson Haydon.¹ Langley Sewell married Emily Jane Davis, daughter of J.H. Davis, on 4 June 1879 in St. James Cathedral, Toronto.^3,4 Langley Sewell and Emily Jane Davisappeared in the 1881 census at Clifton, Welland, Ontario. Where his occupation is given as that of mail clerk.² Langley Sewell died on 4 July 1894 in Toronto at the age of 44.¹

     Gertrude Sewell was born in December 1851 in Sorel, Province of Quebec.^1,2 She was the daughter of Dr. Edward Quincy Sewell and Susan Wilson Haydon.¹ Gertrude Sewell died on 8 May 1927 in the Homeopathic Hospital, Montreal, at the age of 75.^3,1 She was buried on 10 May 1927 in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal.^3,1

     Isabella Geddes was born on 24 August 1812.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. James Geddes and Sarah Hannah Boies.¹ Isabella Geddes married Dr. Stephen Charles Sewell MD, LRCS, son of Stephen Sewell K.C. and Jane Caldwell, on 8 July 1840 in the residence of Charles Geddes, St. James Place, Montreal, the marriage bond is dated 3 July 1840. They had several children all of whom died s.p.^2,3 Isabella Geddes died on 24 May 1889 in Montreal at the age of 76.⁴ She was buried on 26 May 1889 in Montreal.⁴

     Dr. James Geddes married Sarah Hannah Boies.¹ Dr. James Geddes died before 24 August 1812.
