     Maria Davenport is also recorded as Maria Brook. She was born illegitimate on 10 April 1785; but subsequently adopted.2 She was the daughter of William Davenport. Maria Davenport married Rear Admiral Sir Salusbury Pryce Humphreys C.B., K.C.H., son of Rev. Evan Humphreys and Mary Pryce, on 31 May 1810.3 Maria Davenport died on 1 December 1866 at the age of 81.2

     Salusbury Sewell Davenport was born on 29 July 1838.1 He was the son of Major Trevor Humphreys and Frances Georgina Sewell.1 Salusbury " was recovering from scarletina though still covered with the rash on 20 December 1842." On 11 May 1855 he was a promoted to Lieutenant 2 February 1855 The Rifle Brigade from ensign Royal Cheshire Militia; Lieutenant 11 May 1855 transferred to the 2nd West India Regiment of Foot 23 November 1855.2 He died on 13 March 1869 in Quebec "aged thirty years and eight months."3 He was buried on 16 March 1869 in Quebec.3

     Augustus Decimus Durnford was born on 11 January 1849 in Montreal, Quebec.2 He was the son of Major Philip Durnford and Augusta Sewell.1 Augustus Decimus Durnford married Mary Oneida Galt, daughter of Sir Alexander Tilloch Galt GCMG and Amy Gordon Torrance, on 6 February 1896 in St. Georges Church, Montreal, conducted by the Bishop of Montreal and Dean Carmichael. The best man was A.D. Nichols. Bridesmaids were: Ms. Muriel Galt (sister), Ms. Annie Galt (sister). Ushers: Alex Galt, Henry Mosley of New York, Spencer Ramsey.1 Augustus Decimus Durnford died on 30 June 1912 in Cacouna, Quebec, at the age of 63.1
