     William Henry Merrick. Lawyer.¹ He was born on 23 March 1833 in Pittsfield, Maine.¹ He was the son of Levi Johnson Merrick and Maria Jane McMaster.¹ William Henry Merrick married Mary Elena Curtis in 1862 in Austin, Minnesota.¹ William Henry Merrick died on 12 November 1915 in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, at the age of 82.¹

     Abel Merrill was born on 1 October 1755 in Arundel (Kennebunkport), Maine. He married Mehitable Burbank, daughter of Benjamin Burbank and Jane Sewall, on 5 December 1776 (for issue see 107 NEHGR). Abel Merrill died on 16 April 1837 at the age of 81.

     Daniel Merrill married Sarah Gilpatrick, daughter of Samuel Gilpatrick and Elizabeth Mitchell, circa 1805.¹

     Diana Jane Merrill was born on 23 May 1838.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Sewall Merrill and Elizabeth Marshall.¹ Diana Jane Merrill married Henry W. Smith in October 1858 in Astoria, Illinois, they had two children.¹ Diana Jane Merrill died on 12 October 1863 in Astoria, Illinois, at the age of 25.¹

     Edmund Merrill married Susan Morrell.¹

     Elizabeth Ann Merrill was born on 28 February 1831 in Norway, Oxford, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Edmund Merrill and Susan Morrell.¹ Elizabeth Ann Merrill married James Chipman, son of James Chipman and Hannah Currier, on 18 June 1853 in Poland, Androscoggin, Maine.¹ Elizabeth Ann Merrill died on 9 September 1880 at the age of 49.¹

     Jane Merrill was born on 5 June 1788 in Arundel, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Abel Merrill and Mehitable Burbank.¹ Jane Merrill married Eliphalet Durrell on 17 December 1807 in Arundel, Maine.¹ Jane Merrill died on 13 February 1869 in Astoria, Illinois, at the age of 80.¹

     Phoebe Merrill was born in April 1793.³ She was the daughter of Stephen Merrill and Phoebe Clifford.² Phoebe Merrill married Rufus K. Sewall, son of Rev. Samuel Sewall and Abigail Trask, on 29 October 1812.³ Phoebe Merrill and Rufus K. Sewall appear on the census of 1850 at Edgecomb, Lincoln County, Maine, where he is listed as a farmer. In addition to their children they are housing a 12 year old pauper, Clarasa A. Eastman.⁴ Phoebe Merrill died on 14 January 1865 at the age of 71.³

     Ruth Merrill married Israel Burbank, son of Benjamin Burbank and Jane Sewall, on 16 December 1776 in Arundel, Maine.¹

     Stephen Merrill was born in 1748 in Newburyport, Massachusetts. He married Phoebe Clifford.¹ On 1780 he entered military service as a private in Capt. Richard Titcomb's company, Col. Nathan Wade's regiment, Essex County, Mass. Stephen Merrill died in 1828 in Edgecomb, Maine.

     Stephen Sewall Merrill was born on 24 June 1798 in Maine.¹ He was the son of Abel Merrill and Mehitable Burbank.¹ Stephen Sewall Merrill was christened on 30 September 1803 at Kennebunkport, Maine.¹ He married Elizabeth Marshall 11 or 12 Nov 1835.¹ Stephen Sewall Merrill died on 8 May 1890 in Astoria, Illinois, at the age of 91.¹

     Mary Merry married Thomas Jermyn Baron Jermyn of St. Edmundsbury.

     Martha Meserole was the daughter of George Frost Meserole.¹ Martha Meserole married Howard Kellog James, son of Herbert Llewllyn James and Ann Francis Leavitt, on 23 March 1897.¹

     George Messenger was born in 1835.¹ He married Sarah Emaline Hazen, daughter of Andrew Tracy Hazen and Sarah Wood Dimick.¹ George Messenger died in 1919.¹

     Maude Eliza Messenger was born in 1875.¹ She married John Loveland Hazen, son of Thomas Andrew Hazen and Lizzie Maria Loveland.¹ Maude Eliza Messenger died in 1924.¹

     Isaac Newton Metcalf was born on 8 September 1809.¹ He married secondly Charlotte Dummer Cushing, daughter of Martin Cushing and Hannah Sewall, on 18 December 1855.¹ Isaac Newton Metcalf died on 7 February 1889 at the age of 79.¹

     Alicia Mett was the daughter of Thomas Mett.¹ Alicia Mett married Thomas Denne of Denne Hill, son of William Denne of Kingston and Agnes Tufton.¹

     Guarine de Metz died circa 1146.²

     Catherine Metzger was born in 1887.¹ She married Conrad Philip Hazen, son of Thomas Andrew Hazen and Lizzie Maria Loveland.¹

     Alice Meye was the daughter of Dr. John Meye, Bishop of Carlisle and Amy Vowell.¹ Alice Meye married Rev. Richard Burton.²

     Anne Meye was the daughter of Dr. John Meye, Bishop of Carlisle and Amy Vowell.¹

     Elizabeth Meye was the daughter of Dr. John Meye, Bishop of Carlisle and Amy Vowell.^2,3 Elizabeth Meye married Dr. Richard Byrd.²

Dr. John Meye, Bishop of Carlisle was born circa 1526 in Suffolk.² He married Amy Vowell, daughter of William Vowell of Creake Abbey, Norfolk and Margaret Hymerford. Dr. John Meye, Bishop of Carlisle was translated in 1577 Bishop of Carlisle. He died on 15 February 1597/98 in Rose Castle, Carlisle, probably of the plague.³ He was buried on 15 February 1597/98 in Carlisle.³

     John Meye of Shouldham Abbey, Norfolk was the son of Dr. John Meye, Bishop of Carlisle and Amy Vowell.¹

     Elizabeth Meyer married Philip Schuyler, son of Philipse Pieterse van Schuyler and Margarita Van Slechtenhorst, on 25 July 1687 in New York, New York.¹ Elizabeth Meyer died before 1719.¹

     Jellis Pieterse Meyer married Elsje Hendricks.¹

     Maritie Jellise Meyer was baptised on 21 January 1652.¹ She was the daughter of Jellis Pieterse Meyer and Elsje Hendricks.¹ Maritie Jellise Meyer married Capt. Johannes Wendell, son of Evert Jansen Wendell and Susanna Du Trieux.¹ Maritie Jellise Meyer died before 1678.¹

     Claire Meygonade married Pierre Santax, son of Pierre Santax and Petronille Rol, on 12 April 1874.¹
