     Julia Matilda Lynch. Author. She was born on 14 December 1814 in New York City.¹ She was the daughter of Judge James Lynch and Janetje Maria Tillotson.¹ She was a communicant of the Protestant Episcopal church up to the time of her marriage, when she united with the Methodist church, and until her death was actively associated with its Sunday-school and missionary work. She was elected secretary of the New York Female Bible Society.in 1854; was the founder of Hillside Chapel, Rhinebeck, N.Y., 1855, and upon the organization of the New York branch of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society in 1869, was chosen as its first president. She edited her husband's sermons, sketches, lectures and addresses under the title of The Works of Stephen Olin (1853), and his Greece and the Golden Horn (1854). She is the author of: Words of the Wise (1851); A String of Pearls (1855); Four Days in July (1855); Hillside Flowers (1856); A Winter at Woodlawn (1856); What Norman Saw in the West (1859); Hawk Hollow Stories (1863); The Perfect Sight, or Seven Hues of Christian Character (1865); Questions on Lessons (1865); Questions on the Natural History of the Bible (1865); Biographical Sketches of Christian Women (1865); a series of books for Sunday-school instruction (1849, 1851, 1861), and many contributions to the Methodist Quarterly Review and other denominational publications. The Rev. Edward Brenton Otherman, her pastor at Hillside Chapel, published a memorial volume as a tribute to Mrs. Olin in 1881.¹ Julia Matilda Lynch married Dr. Stephen Olin on 18 October 1843.¹ Julia Matilda Lynch died on 1 May 1879 in New York City at the age of 64.¹

     Margaret A. Lynch was the daughter of Judge James Lynch and Janetje Maria Tillotson.¹

     Margaret Lynde married Thomas Savage, son of Thomas Savage and Elizabeth Scottow.¹

     Mary Lynde was the daughter of Hon. Benjamin Lynde.¹ Mary Lynde married Hon. Andrew Oliver, son of Lt. Gov. Andrew Oliver and Mary Fitch, on 28 May 1752.¹

     Thomas Lynde married Mary Anderson, daughter of John Anderson and Jane (Unknown).¹ Thomas Lynde died before 1682.¹

     Elizabeth Lynsen was the daughter of Abraham Lynsen.¹ Elizabeth Lynsen married Thomas Smith, son of Judge William Smith and Mary Hett, on 22 November 1758.^2,3

     Mary J. Lyon married Francis Curtis.¹

     Margaret Ann L_____ married Erastus Bartlett.¹

     Fannie Mabbs married John Lawler.¹

     Evelyn MacCurdy was the daughter of Judge Charles Johnson McCurdy and Sarah Anne Lord.¹ Evelyn MacCurdy married Edward Elbridge Salisbury, son of Josiah Salisbury and Abby Breese, on 23 November 1871 or 1872.^1,2

     (?) Macdonald of Keppoch married Alexander Cameron of the Glens [or Glenevis].

      He was a Under Secretary for Mines, Brisbane.¹ Alex Macdonald died in 1949.¹

     Janet Wilmina Macdonald was the daughter of Alex Macdonald.¹ Janet Wilmina Macdonald. Noted for a pedigree herd of cattle. She is also recorded as Mina Crombie. She married William David Crombie, son of William Crombie and Margaret Anne Cameron, they established a farmstead at the remote Maranthona, near Longreach (precisely on the tropic of Capricorn, in Queensland).

     Isabella Macdonell married Neil McLean.¹

     John Hayter MacFadyen. Architect and arts administrator.² He was born on 5 March 1923 in Duluth, Minnesota.² He graduated in 1946 from Princetown University and in 1949 was awarded his Master of Architecture degree, also from Princeton.² He married Mary Esther Edge, daughter of Governor Walter Evans Edge and Camilla Loyall Ashe Sewall, on 24 May 1952.¹ John Hayter MacFadyen died on 18 February 2000 in Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta, Maine, at the age of 76.²

     Clara MacGown married Gerrish Bradley Wiggin, son of James Bradley Wiggin and Frances Marie Hazen.¹

     Johanna MacIvor was the daughter of Rev. Colin MacIvor.¹ Johanna MacIvor married Ewen Cameron, son of Donald Charles Cameron and (?) Cameron of Letterfinlay.¹

     Elisha Mack married Catherine Sewall Pynchon Orne, daughter of Timothy Orne and Elizabeth Sewall Pynchon, in 1813.

     Margaret Jean MacKay was born in 1908.¹ She married Trevor Durnford Ross, son of Andrew Guy Ross and Evelyn St. Lo Durnford, on 11 June 1932 in Montreal.² Margaret Jean MacKay died in July 1997 in Westmount, Quebec.¹

     Amy M. MacKenzie was born in 1903.¹ She was the daughter of Hugh Blair MacKenzie.¹ Amy M. MacKenzie married Elliott T. Alexander Durnford, son of Augustus Decimus Durnford and Mary Oneida Galt.¹ Amy M. MacKenzie was living in 1996 658 Belmont, Westmount, Quebec H3Y 2W2.¹

     Catherine Webber Mackie was born circa 1845 in Canada. She was the daughter of Rev. George Mackie D.D. and Emily Ann Smith. Catherine Webber Mackie married George James Crosbie Dawson on 7 August 1872.¹

     Rev. George Mackie D.D. married Emily Ann Smith, daughter of Hon. William G. Smith and Susannah Webber, on 11 August 1842 in Holy Trinity Church, Quebec.¹ At the time of his marriage he was examining chaplain to the Bishop of Montreal and curate of Quebec.¹

     Jean MacKintosh was the daughter of Capt. Lachlan MacKintosh and Jean Gordon.¹ Not presently traced in the Old Parish Registers. She is said to have been betrothed to a Capt. Bishop of the Madras Artillery but no record of a marriage has been found in Scotland.¹

     Capt. Lachlan MacKintosh married Jean Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon 4th Duke of Gordon, 7th Marquess, 1st Earl of Norwich and Jean Christie, on 8 August 1825.¹

     Clara Lucinde Adah Macklin was born on 28 August 1889 in Peterborough, Canada.¹ She was the daughter of John George Macklin and Emily Bell Haultain.¹
