     Dorothy Griffith was the daughter of Sir William Griffith and Jane Stradling.¹ Dorothy Griffith married William Wynn Williams, son of William Williams and Lowry Salusbury.¹

     Eleanor de Bohun was born in 1304.¹ She was the daughter of Humphrey de Bohun, 4th Earl of Hereford, Earl of Essex and Elizabeth Plantagenet.¹ Eleanor de Bohun died on 7 October 1363.¹

     John Alford Mason was born on 10 December 1750.¹ He was the son of Thaddeus Mason and Elizabeth Sewall.¹ John Alford Mason graduated on 17 July 1771 from Harvard.¹ He died on 19 February 1831 in Dorchester at the age of 80 after having been run over by a milk cart the previous August receiving injuries which confined him to his bed.²

     Waldo Story was the son of William Wetmore Story and Emelyn Eldridge.¹ A sculptor.¹

     Mary Lynde Oliver was born on 20 December 1781.² She was the daughter of Rev. Thomas Fitch Oliver and Sarah Pynchon.¹ Mary Lynde Oliver married Joseph Story, son of Dr. Elisha Story and Mehitable Pedrick.¹ Mary Lynde Oliver died on 22 June 1805 at the age of 23.²

     Sarah Waldo was the daughter of Samuel Waldo Jr. and Sarah Erving.¹

     Samuel Waldo Jr. was born circa 1721.² He was the son of General Samuel Waldo and Lucy Wainwright.¹ Samuel Waldo Jr. graduated in 1743 from Harvard.² He married firstly Griselda or Grizzell Oliver in August 1760.² Samuel Waldo Jr. married secondly Sarah Erving in March 1762.² Samuel Waldo Jr. died on 16 April 1770.²

     Sarah Erving married Samuel Waldo Jr., son of General Samuel Waldo and Lucy Wainwright, in March 1762.²

     General Samuel Waldo was the son of Jonathan Waldo and Hannah Mason.³ A large landed proprietor in Maine.² General Samuel Waldo married Lucy Wainwright.¹

     Lucy Wainwright married General Samuel Waldo, son of Jonathan Waldo and Hannah Mason.¹

     Jonathan Waldo was the son of Deacon Cornelius Waldo and Hannah Cogswell.¹ Jonathan Waldo married firstly Hannah Mason on 28 November 1692 at Boston.² Jonathan Waldo died in 1731.²

     Hannah Mason married Jonathan Waldo, son of Deacon Cornelius Waldo and Hannah Cogswell, on 28 November 1692 in Boston.² Hannah Mason died in 1726.²

     Nathaniel Oliver was born on 8 March 1652.¹ He was the son of Peter Oliver and Sarah Newdigate.¹

     Peter Oliver was born on 3 March 1655.¹ He was the son of Peter Oliver and Sarah Newdigate.¹

     Samuel Oliver was the son of Peter Oliver and Sarah Newdigate.¹ Samuel Oliver died in 1657.¹

     Mercy Oliver was born in 1695.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. James Oliver and Mercy Bradstreet.¹

     Mary Fitch was the daughter of Hon. Thomas Fitch. Mary Fitch married Lt. Gov. Andrew Oliver, son of Daniel Oliver and Elizabeth Belcher, on 20 June 1728.¹ Mary Fitch died on 26 November 1732.¹

     Mary Lynde was the daughter of Hon. Benjamin Lynde.¹ Mary Lynde married Hon. Andrew Oliver, son of Lt. Gov. Andrew Oliver and Mary Fitch, on 28 May 1752.¹

     Elizabeth Belcher was the daughter of Andrew Belcher.¹ Elizabeth Belcher married Daniel Oliver, son of Peter Oliver and Sarah Newdigate, in April 1696.¹ Elizabeth Belcher died on 21 May 1736.¹

     Peter Oliver was born on 17 March 1713.¹ He was the son of Daniel Oliver and Elizabeth Belcher.¹ Peter Oliver graduated in 1730 from Harvard.² He married Mary Clarke on 5 July 1733.³ Though not educated a lawyer, he was appointed Chief Justice of Massachusetts in 1756; and in McFingal it is asked, —
"Did Heaven appoint our chief judge Oliver,
Fill that high bench with ignoramus,
Or has it councils by mandamus ?"

Judge Oliver was proscribed and banished, and his estate was confiscated. In addition to his judicial station he was a Mandamus Councillor. He went to Halifax at the evacuation of Boston in 1776. Subsequently he embarked for England. Of the five Judges of the Superior Court of Massachusetts at the Revolutionary era, four, to wit, the subject of this notice, Edmund Trowbridge, Foster Hutchinson, and William Browne, were Loyalists. The Whig member of the Court was William Cushing. In 1774 Oliver was impeached by the Legislature for refusing to receive, as usual, a grant for his services from the Colonial Treasury, and because he would not engage to accept of any emolument from the Crown.² Peter Oliver died in 1791 in England.²

     Mary Clarke married Peter Oliver, son of Daniel Oliver and Elizabeth Belcher, on 5 July 1733.¹ Mary Clarke died in 1766.¹

     Agnes (Unknown) widow Henson married secondly Thomas Oliver, son of John Oliver and Elizabeth Rowlan, on 27 October 1600 in Lilford, Northamptonshire.¹ Agnes (Unknown) widow Henson died before December 1617.¹

     James Sewall was born on 19 January 1763 in Georgetown, Maine.^1,2 He was the son of William Sewall and Sarah Chisam.¹ James Sewall married Margaret Pattee, daughter of Jeremiah Pattee and Jane Stuard, on 17 August 1787 in Georgetown.¹ James Sewall died on 17 September 1817 in Georgetown, Maine, at the age of 54.¹

     Margaret Pattee was born on 12 November 1759 in Georgetown, Maine.¹ She was the daughter of Jeremiah Pattee and Jane Stuard.² Margaret Pattee married James Sewall, son of William Sewall and Sarah Chisam, on 17 August 1787 in Georgetown.¹

     Jane Stewart Sewall was born on 5 November 1785 in Georgetown.¹ She was the daughter of James Sewall and Margaret Pattee.¹
