Joanna Hincksman is also recorded as Joanna Henchman.2 She is also recorded as Hinckaman.3 She married Charles Hoar, son of Charles Hoar and Margery (Unknown) of Gloucester, circa 1609? Joanna Hincksman with five of her children emigrated in 1640 to New England and immediately settled in Braintree. She died on 21 December 1661 in Braintree, Massachusetts.1,4 She was buried in Quincy, in the old burial ground with her son Leonard and his wife and daughter, near the graves of her daughters Mrs. Flynt and Mrs. Quincy.5
