     Joseph Mortleman Eastty was baptised on 7 September 1819 at Stoke Green Baptist Chapel, Ipswich, Suffolk, though his gravestone apparently gives a date of 19 September 1819.2 He was the son of Nathaniel Eastty and Mary Ann Mortleman.2,3 Joseph Mortleman Eastty married firstly Elizabeth Sharp on 5 June 1841 in St. Nicholas, Rochester, Kent.4 Joseph Mortleman Eastty married Susan (Unknown) in 1866.5 Joseph Mortleman Eastty made a will on 16 December 1872.6 He died on 5 January 1878 in Croydon at the age of 58. Probate was granted on 29 January 1878.6
