     Matilda or Maud of Flanders was born circa 1031.¹ She was the daughter of Baldwin V Count of Flanders, and Adela of France. Matilda or Maud of Flanders married William called the Conqueror, William I, King of England, son of Robert Duke of the Normans and Herleva or Harlotta of Falaise,, in 1053.¹ Matilda or Maud of Flanders died on 2 November 1083 in Caen, France.

     Hélias de la Fleche, Count of Maine was the son of John de Baugency, Seigneur de la Fleche and Paula of Maine.² Hélias de la Fleche, Count of Maine died on 11 July 1110.

     Lt. Arthur Gordon Slane Fleming DCM was born on 12 April 1870 in Dublin, Ireland, His attestation paper for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force gives his birth date as 12th April 1875, which would appear to be a lie in order to appear young enough to serve.^1,4 He was the son of Capt. Joseph Fleming and Sophie Janet Sewell.^2,3 Brought up in Quebec, educated at Bishops College, Lennoxville; at an early age went to the States, became an engineer in Montana. When war broke out took the first train to Winnipeg, enlisted, machine gun section, exchanged into the Princess Pats, Mentioned in Despatches, got his commission in the 26th Battalion, 5th Brigade, wounded on the Somme, fought through Vimy Ridge.³ Lt. Arthur Gordon Slane Fleming DCM died on 15 August 1917 in Lens, France, at the age of 47.¹ He was buried in I.K. 14, Aix-Noulette Cemetery Extension, Pas de Calais, France.¹

     Bartholomew Fleming married Marion Hamilton.

     Beatrice (or Elizabeth) Fleming was the daughter of Lord Robert Fleming, 1st Lord Fleming and Lady Janet Douglas.^1,2 Beatrice (or Elizabeth) Fleming married James Livingston, 3rd Lord Livingston of Callendar, son of Alexander Livingston of Callendar and (unknown) (Unknown), circa 1470.²

     Carl Radcliffe Slane Fleming was born on 18 February 1875 in Karachi, India.^3,4 He was the son of Capt. Joseph Fleming and Sophie Janet Sewell.^1,2 Carl Radcliffe Slane Fleming was christened on 2 March 1875 at Karachi.⁴ He was received into the church on 13 May 1876 at Holy Trinity Church, Quebec.⁵ He married Olive Atkinson.² Carl Radcliffe Slane Fleming died on 18 August 1953 in Saanich, British Columbia, at the age of 78.⁶

     Frances Fleming was born in 1893.¹ She married Walter Leeds Chapin, son of Walter Leeds Chapin and Susan Winifred Sewall, in 1933.¹

     Janet Fleming was born on 16 November 1613 in Edinburgh.³ She was the daughter of Bartholomew Fleming and Marion Hamilton.² Janet Fleming married Rev. John Livingston of Ancrum, son of Rev. William Livingston and Agnes Livingston, on 23 June 1635 in West Church, Edinburgh, she was the eldest daughter of Bartholomew Fleming, of that well-known Scottish family, the head of which was the Earl of Wigton, who with his son Lord Fleming was present at the wedding of his kinsman's daughter Janet.^2,1,3 Janet Fleming died on 13 February 1693/94 in Rotterdam, Holland, at the age of 80.^3,4 She was buried on 13 February 1693/94 in Rotterdam.³

     Capt. Joseph Fleming married Sophie Janet Sewell, daughter of Sheriff William Smith Sewell and Lavinia Marian Griffin, on 3 June 1869 in Chapel of the Holy Trinity, Quebec, the groom is called "of Dublin" in the record of the marriage.^1,3 Capt. Joseph Fleming died in 1875 in Karachi, India, suddenly.⁴
He was commandant of the Ghizree Sanatorium at the time of his death. He entered the service, August 1854, becoming Lieutenant, December 1854 and Captain, April 1870. He served with the 30th Regiment in the Crimea from May 30, 1855, including the siege and fall of Sebastopol (medal with clasp and Turkish medal). He later transferred to the 56th Regiment.⁴

     Sir Malcolm Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld married Elizabeth Stewart, daughter of Robert Stewart, Duke of Albany and Muriella de Keith, before 28 June 1413. Sir Malcolm Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld was beheaded in 1440.

     Maud Gordon Slane Fleming was born on 26 September 1873 in Ghorpuri, Poona, India.⁴ She was the daughter of Capt. Joseph Fleming and Sophie Janet Sewell.^2,3 Maud Gordon Slane Fleming was born on 22 October 1873 in Ghorpuri, Poona.⁴ She married John Laurence Pool, son of John Hillhouse Pool, on 10 November 1902 in All Saints, Marylebone.¹

     Lord Robert Fleming, 1st Lord Fleming was the son of Sir Malcolm Fleming of Biggar and Cumbernauld and Elizabeth Stewart. Lord Robert Fleming, 1st Lord Fleming married Lady Janet Douglas, daughter of James Douglas, "The Gross" 7th Earl of Douglas.¹ Lord Robert Fleming, 1st Lord Fleming died in 1491.

     Anna Fletcher married Deacon Daniel Emerson, son of Rev. Daniel Emerson and Hannah Emerson, in 1768.¹

     Deborah Fletcher married Lt. Governor Thomas Cushing.¹

     Hepzibah Fletcher was born in 1750.¹ She married Edward Flint, son of John Flint and Hepzibah Brown, on 28 February 1770.² Hepzibah Fletcher died in 1820.¹

     Abigail Flint was born on 11 January 1674/75.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel John Flint and Mary Oakes.¹

     Abigail Flint was the daughter of John Flint and Abigail Buttrick.¹

     Abigail Flint was born on 6 December 1787.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Flint and Hepzibah Fletcher.¹ Abigail Flint died on 12 October 1859 at the age of 71.¹

     Abisha Flint was born on 20 October 1766.¹ He was the son of John Flint and Hepzibah Brown.¹ Abisha Flint died in April 1807 at the age of 40.¹

     Dr. Austin Flint was the son of Dr. Edward Flint and Mary Howe.¹

     Charles Flint was the son of Thomas Flint and Mary Brown.¹

     Charlotte Flint was born on 22 December 1793 in Massachusetts.^2,3 She was the daughter of Edward Flint and Hepzibah Fletcher.¹ Charlotte Flint married Thomas Rice, son of Samuel Rice and (widow) Davis, on 25 January 1814.³ Charlotte Flint died in 1879.¹

     Charlotte Flint was born on 16 June 1826 in Pompey, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Flint and Betsey McKnight.¹ Charlotte Flint married John Soule.¹

     Cumming Flint was born on 11 September 1763.¹ He was the son of John Flint and Hepzibah Brown.¹ Cumming Flint died on 1 July 1831 at the age of 67.¹

     Deborah Flint was the daughter of Edward Flint and Elizabeth Hart.¹ Deborah Flint married Thomas Lee, son of Thomas ? Lee and Martha Mellowes.¹ Deborah Flint died on 3 April 1763.¹

     Dorothy Flint married Rev. Samuel Shepard, son of Rev. Thomas Shepard and Joanna Hooker, on 30 April 1666 in Rowley the service was conducted by Daniel Gookin.^1,2 Dorothy Flint died in 1668.³ She was buried on 12 February 1667/68.⁴

     Edward Flint married Elizabeth Hart.¹

     Edward Flint was born on 6 July 1685.¹ He was the son of Colonel John Flint and Mary Oakes.¹ Edward Flint married Love Minot, daughter of James Minot.¹ Edward Flint died on 15 November 1754 in Concord, Massachusetts, at the age of 69 s.p.²

     Edward Flint was born on 14 August 1749.² He was the son of John Flint and Hepzibah Brown.¹ Edward Flint married Hepzibah Fletcher on 28 February 1770.² Edward Flint died on 25 March 1812 at the age of 62.²
