     William Emerson was born on 31 July 1801 in Boston, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Rev. William Emerson and Ruth Haskins.¹ William Emerson graduated in 1818 from Harvard and after teaching at a private school for a time went to Germany to study theology, but becoming skeptical on several essential points, abandoned the ministry and became a lawyer.¹ He married Sarah Woodward Haven, daughter of John Haven, in 1833.² William Emerson died on 13 September 1868 in New York at the age of 67.²

     William Emerson was born on 23 July 1754 in York, Maine.¹ He married Eunice Grow, daughter of William Grow and Abigail Young, on 19 January 1775 in York.¹ William Emerson died on 11 February 1790 in York, Maine, at the age of 35.¹

     Rev. William Emerson was born on 21 May 1743 in Malden, Massachusetts, or 31 May.^2,3,4 He was the son of Rev. Joseph Emerson and Mary Moody.¹ Rev. William Emerson graduated in 1761 from Harvard.⁵ He was ordained on 1 January 1766 at Concord.³ He was a pastor of the Concord church, succeeding his father-in-law, Daniel Bliss. Was a chaplain in the Revolutionary army at Ticonderoga.^5,2 He married Phoebe Bliss, daughter of Rev. Daniel Bliss and Phoebe Walker. Rev. William Emerson died on 20 October 1776 in Rutland, Vermont, at the age of 33.²

     Rev. William Emerson was born on 6 May 1769 in Concord, Massachusetts.² He was the son of Rev. William Emerson and Phoebe Bliss.¹ Rev. William Emerson graduated in 1789 from Harvard taught in Roxbury for two years; studied theology for a few months.² On 23 July 1792 he was a ordained pastor of the Unitarian Church at Harvard.² He married Ruth Haskins, daughter of John Haskins and Hannah Upham, on 25 October 1796.³ In 1799 delivered the artillery election sermon in Boston.⁴ Between 16 October 1799 and 1811 he was a pastor of the First Church in Boston.^2,4 Between May 1804 and October 1805 was editor of The Atlantic Monthly. On 3 Oct 1805, the Anthology club was formed and he was elected as vice-president. On his motion the club established a library of periodical literature, which grew into the Boston Athenaeum. He nearly completed a history of the First Church, which was published after his death with two of his sermons. His other published works are sermons.⁴ Rev. William Emerson died on 12 May 1811 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 42 of cancer of the stomach.⁵

     Winifred Emerson was born in 1888.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Hart Emerson and Melinda Elizabeth Stearns.¹ Winifred Emerson married Louise M. Spencer.¹

     Ann Emery was born in 1716.¹ She was the daughter of Moses Emery and Lydia Emery.¹

     Anne Emery married Tristram Little.¹

     Daniel Emery married Hannah Toppan, daughter of Sgt. Jacob Toppan and Sarah Kent, on 26 November 1718.²

     Jane Emery was born in 1759.¹ She married Simon Frost, son of Judge Simon Frost and Mercy Sewall, on 19 November 1777.^1,2

     John Emery was born in 1686.¹ He married Mehitable Short, daughter of Henry Short and Anne Sewall.¹ John Emery died in 1750.¹

     Josiah Emery was born in 1718.¹ He was the son of Moses Emery and Lydia Emery.¹ Josiah Emery died in 1729.¹

     Lydia Emery married Moses Emery, son of John Emery and Mehitable Short.¹

     Mary Emery was born in 1720.¹ She was the daughter of Moses Emery and Lydia Emery.¹ Mary Emery married Barnard Currier.¹ Mary Emery died in 1786.¹

     Moses Emery was born in 1715.¹ He was the son of John Emery and Mehitable Short.¹ Moses Emery married Lydia Emery.¹

     Norman Bartlett Emery was born on 4 October 1896 in York Beach, Maine.² He was the son of Abbie S. (Unknown).³ Norman Bartlett Emery married Etta May Sewall, daughter of Frank Ernest Sewall and Marietta Muchmore, circa 1926.^3,1 Norman Bartlett Emery died on 4 November 1978 in York, Maine, at the age of 82.⁴

     Thomas Sewall Emery was born on 8 July 1927 in York, Maine.^2,1 He was the son of Norman Bartlett Emery and Etta May Sewall.² Thomas Sewall Emery died on 23 October 1994 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 67.³

     Alfred King of England, Alfred the Great was born in 849 in Wantage, Dorset.^1,2 He was the son of Ethelwulf King of Wessex and Osburga of Hampshire.^2,3 Alfred King of England, Alfred the Great married Ethelswitha daughter of Aethelred,, daughter of Aethelred Mucel, Ealdorman of the Gainas and Princess Edburga of Mercia,, in 868 in Winchester.⁴ Alfred King of England, Alfred the Great died on 26 October 899 and was buried in Newminster Abbey, Winchester. His remains were later removed to Hyde Abbey, Winchester, which was destroyed during the Reformation. The present site of his grave is unknown. His bones may possibly lie in one of the mortuary chests in Winchester Cathedral.^1,4

     Edgar King of England, Edgar the Peacable was born in 943.² He was the son of Edmund I King of England, Edmund the Magnificent and Saint Elgiva.² Edgar King of England, Edgar the Peacable married Elfrida of Devon, daughter of Ordgar Ealdorman of Devon, in 965.² Edgar King of England, Edgar the Peacable died on 8 July 975 in Winchester and was buried in Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset.³

     Edmund I King of England, Edmund the Magnificent was born in 920.¹ He was the son of Edward I King of England, Edward the Elder and Edgiva of Kent.¹ Edmund I King of England, Edmund the Magnificent married Saint Elgiva circa 940.² Edmund I King of England, Edmund the Magnificent was murdered on 26 May 946 in Pucklechurch, Dorset, when an outlaw named Liofa stabbed him whilst he was dining in his hall. He was buried in Glastonbury Abbey, Somerset. He was succeeded by his brother Edred.²

     Edward I King of England, Edward the Elder was born circa 871.¹ He was the son of Alfred King of England, Alfred the Great and Ethelswitha daughter of Aethelred.² Edward I King of England, Edward the Elder married as his third wife Edgiva of Kent, daughter of Sigehelm of Kent, Ealdorman of Kent.³ Edward I King of England, Edward the Elder died in 924.²

     Joan of England is also recorded as Joan of Acre. She was born in 1272 in Acre, Palestine.¹ She was the daughter of King Edward I, called Longshanks and Eleanor of Castile.¹ Joan of England married firstly Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Hertford on 30 April 1290 in Westminster Abbey. Joan of England died on 23 April 1307 in Clare, Suffolk.¹

     David English married Sarah Angelica (Ann) Singleton in 1832 she left David English after a gunfight that resulted in the death of her brother Joseph and two of David's brothers. Remarried after David's death.² David English died before December 1838.

     Harriet Marie English was born in 1833.¹ She was the daughter of David English and Sarah Angelica (Ann) Singleton.¹ Harriet Marie English married Dr. William Henry Bridges, son of John Whipple Bridges and Eleanor Brooke Jones, in 1850.^1,2 Harriet Marie English died in 1865.¹

     Hattie A. English was born on 19 May 1840.¹ She married William H. Cole, son of Robert Cole and Catherine Taliaferro Hooe Sewall, on 1 October 1876 they settled in Van Etten, New York.¹ Hattie A. English died on 23 May 1881 at the age of 41.¹

     Priscilla English was the daughter of Captain Alexander English.² Priscilla English married Richard Wibird Cooper, son of William Cooper and Katherine Wendell, on 17 December 1787 in Petersburg, Virginia.² Priscilla English died on 25 March 1808.²

     Capt. Daniel Eps was born on 8 November 1710 in Boston.¹ He married Hannah Prescott, daughter of Rev. Benjamin Prescott and Elizabeth Higginson, on 29 December 1737 in Salem.¹ Capt. Daniel Eps died in 1780 in Salem, Massachusetts.¹

     Joan Ercall was the daughter of William Ercall.¹ Joan Ercall married secondly Sir John Chetwynd Lord of Chetwynd and Weston, son of Adam de Chetwynd of Cublesdon and Eva de Oswaldestre, after 1320.¹
