     Note: James Dundas of Dundas (the elder) and Daughter of Dundas of Dundas This link and the line going back to Robert the Bruce is not good. James Dundas' marriage and reputed daughter are not mentioned in the Dundas pedigree in J. Drummonds' Histories of the Families of Dunbar, Hume, and Dundas, 1844.³ James Dundas of Dundas (the elder) died in 1430.⁴

     Cornelius H. Dunham married Lucia Brett on 8 September 1838.¹

     Ellen M. Dunham was born on 30 September 1839 in Massachusetts.^1,2 She was the daughter of Cornelius H. Dunham and Lucia Brett.² Ellen M. Dunham married John Milton Sewall, son of John Milton Sewall and Dorcas Cushman, on 29 May 1859.³ Ellen M. Dunham appears on the census of 1900 at Brockton, Massachusetts, living with her son-in-law, Nathan Hayward and family.⁴

     Effie Dunlop was born on 11 January 1888 in Quebec.^4,3 She was the daughter of Johnston J. Dunlop and Julia Ahern.^2,3 Effie Dunlop was baptised on 17 May 1889 at Quebec.³ She married Walter Sewell Champion, son of Charles Pipon Champion and Charlotte Henrietta Westrene Sewell, on 22 October 1913 in Wesleyan Methodist Church, Quebec.⁵ Effie Dunlop died in 1979.⁴

     Johnston J. Dunlop married Julia Ahern.¹

     Elizabeth Dunn was born in 1771 in Kirk Merrington, Durham.¹ She was the daughter of John Dunn.² Elizabeth Dunn married Robert Monypenny, son of James Monypenny and Sylvestra Blackwell, in October 1796 in Beneden, Kent.² Elizabeth Dunn died on 28 April 1833 in Rolvenden.³

     Lawrence Francis Dunne was born on 9 November 1842 in Yass, New South Wales.² He was the son of Patrick John Dunne and Jane A. Murphy.² The marriage of Lawrence Francis Dunne and Matilda Forbes [or Ford] Mason was registered in in 1881 in the Burrowa [Boorowa?], New South Wales Registration District.³ Lawrence's death was registered in the quarter ending 1900 in the Murrumburrah, New South Wales registration district.¹

     Lawrence Francis Dunne's birth was registered in 1898 in the Boorowa, New South Wales registration district.² He was the son of Lawrence Francis Dunne and Matilda Forbes [or Ford] Mason.² Lawrence's death was registered in 1937 in the Ashfield, New South Wales registration district.¹

     Marie Amelia Dunne's birth was registered in 1890 in the Boorowa, New South Wales registration district; the registration transcription reads "Mary A."² She was the daughter of Lawrence Francis Dunne and Matilda Forbes [or Ford] Mason.¹ Marie Amelia Dunne married George Best Dean, son of Henry Jennings Dean and Mary Turley, in 1913 in Mosman, New South Wales. Marie Amelia Dunne and George Best Dean were divorced on 12 August 1930 at New South Wales.

     Patrick John Dunne was born circa 1814 in Dublin, Ireland.¹ He was the son of Simon Peter Dunne.¹ Patrick John Dunne married Jane A. Murphy, daughter of Laurence Murphy and Ann Bergan, on 16 November 1840 in Yass, New South Wales.¹ Patrick John Dunne died in 1897 in Newcastle, New South Wales.¹

     Peter Augustus Dunne was born on 23 September 1841 in Yass, New South Wales.¹ He was the son of Patrick John Dunne and Jane A. Murphy.¹ Peter Augustus Dunne married Adelaide Mary Price.² Peter Augustus Dunne died on 29 August 1911 in Sydney, New South Wales, at the age of 69.¹

     Philemina Dunne's birth was registered in 1897 in the Boorowa, New South Wales registration district.¹ She was the daughter of Lawrence Francis Dunne and Matilda Forbes [or Ford] Mason.¹

     Philomena G. Dunne was the daughter of Lawrence Francis Dunne and Matilda Forbes [or Ford] Mason.¹ Philomena's death was registered in 1896 in the Burrowa, New South Wales registration district.¹

     William Francis Dunne's birth was registered in 1892 in the Boorowa, New South Wales registration district.² He was the son of Lawrence Francis Dunne and Matilda Forbes [or Ford] Mason.² Bill Dunne was Mayor of Wagga Wagga between 1952 and 1954. William's death was registered in 1966 in the Nowra, New South Wales registration district.¹

     Andrew Dunning was born circa 1664.¹ He died on 18 January 1736/37 in Brunswick.¹

     Deacon Andrew Dunning was born on 11 July 1727 in York, Maine.³ He was the son of William Dunning and Deborah Donnell.³ Deacon Andrew Dunning married Hannah Shepherd, daughter of Mark Shepherd and Hannah Hilton, on 9 May 1751 in York.¹ Deacon Andrew Dunning died on 27 March 1808 at the age of 80.⁴

     Jenny Dunning is also recorded as Jane Dunning.² She was born on 9 March 1763 in Harpswell, Maine, but recorded as 19 March in Chesterville Vital Records.^3,2 She was the daughter of Deacon Andrew Dunning and Hannah Shepherd.² Jenny Dunning married Dummer Sewall, son of Colonel Dummer Sewall and Mary Dunning, on 24 October 1782 in Harpswell, Maine.^3,2 Jenny Dunning appears on the census of 1850 at Chesterville, Franklin County, Maine, with her is a Jane Sewall aged 51. They living next door to Otis C. Sewall and his family.⁴ She died on 26 May 1852 in Harpswell, Maine, at the age of 89.^3,2 She was buried in Chesterville Center Cemetery, Chesterville, Franklin County, Maine.⁵

     Mary Dunning was born on 4 April 1739 in York, Maine.^3,4 She was the daughter of William Dunning and Deborah Donnell.^1,2 Mary Dunning married Colonel Dummer Sewall, son of Capt. Samuel Sewall and Sarah Batchelder, on 18 December 1760 in York, Maine, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Isaac Lyman. The Vital records, 1779-1903 Bath, give a date of 16 December at Bath.⁵ Mary Dunning died on 10 July 1823 in Bath, Maine, at the age of 84 (gravestone). (Sinnett gives a date of 10 September, 1823). Mary Dunning is said to have been "the prettiest girl of Old York, Maine, she was a woman of truly a sterling character, very patriotic,and beloved by all."^2,4

     William Dunning. Farmer and cordwainer.³ He was born circa 1700.³ He was the son of Andrew Dunning.² William Dunning married Deborah Donnell, daughter of Benjamin Donnell and Mary Harmon, on 26 November 1724 in York, Maine.³ William Dunning died on 13 June 1783 in York, Maine.³

     Hon. John William Dunscomb was born on 23 February 1809 in St. John's Hill, Bermuda.¹ He married Caroline Birch Durnford, daughter of Major General Elias Walker Durnford R.E. and Jane Sophia Mann, on 26 April 1840 in St George's, Hanover Square, London.¹ Hon. John William Dunscomb died on 16 December 1891 in Quebec at the age of 82.¹

     Mary Dunster married Amos Marrett.¹

     Gara E. Dunton was born circa 1902 in Maine.² She was the daughter of Lewis A. Dunton.² Gara E. Dunton married Joseph Thompson Sewall, son of Mark Warren Sewall and Rachel F. Thompson, on 24 July 1926 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.^1,3 Gara E. Dunton died on 12 January 1992 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.⁴
