     Caroline Birch Durnford was born on 10 December 1817 in Quebec.1 She was the daughter of Major General Elias Walker Durnford R.E. and Jane Sophia Mann.1 Caroline Birch Durnford was baptised on 17 January 1818 at Quebec.2 She married Hon. John William Dunscomb on 26 April 1840 in St George's, Hanover Square, London.1 Caroline Birch Durnford died on 1 January 1892 in Quebec at the age of 74.1

     Charles Durnford was born in August 1811 in St. John's, Newfoundland.1 He was the son of Major General Elias Walker Durnford R.E. and Jane Sophia Mann.1 Charles Durnford died on 5 January 1832 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, at the age of 20.1
